A representative from the Senior Advocacy Unit is here the first Wednesday of each month to talk with you one on one about your concerns. Love to Dance Party Thursday, April 6, 2-4 Join us as we host a dance party with a live DJ to play your favorite dance music including line dances. Come move and socialize. From the Temple of Abu Simbal in the south to Alexandria on the shores of the Mediterranean in the north, we cover this amazing land that was already ancient in the days of Moses. Amplified and Captioned Phones Wednesday, April 26, 11-1 Center for Independent living and OEI will be on site to help you with your phone need. OEI is a new agency that connects individuals with free programs that provide Captioned Telephone equipment at no cost, helping you re-connect with the important people in your life. Stay Well-Chair Exercise Mondays, 12-12:45 (no class 24, video instead) This Instructor led class begins with 15 minutes of movement to music to increase your heart rate and then we concentrate on strengthening the posterior muscles. Bring two (2) light hand weights. Please wear comfort- able clothing and good supportive athletic shoes. Water Color Painting Tuesdays, 9:45-11:45 Come join our Water Color Painting class. We have an instructor who will help you with your current projects. Bring your current project, paint and brushes and learn new techniques while socializing with other water color painters. Spanish Tuesdays, 10-11 We are using the Great Courses: Learning Spanish: How to Understand and Speak a New Language. Gardening Group Thursdays, 10-11:30 Members get together to socialize while engaging in activities that are linked to gardening. This month we explore; Create a New Space, Big Plants in Containers, Outdoor Living Areas and a field trip. Note: the Field Trip will be Friday April 14 instead of Thursday April 13. No class on April 13. Please make sure you preregister for gardening by Tuesday so that we have supplies for everyone in attendance. Bone Builders Thursdays, 12:00-1:00 This is an instructor led chair strength exercise class that helps improve strength and osteoporosis. Recommend that participants bring 2-small hand weights. Optimizing Brain Fitness Tuesdays, 2:30-3:15 You can increase the power of your brain through your own effort. The brain’s ability to change in response to experience—called plasticity—is the key to understanding the brain’s development. We now o�er shuttle service each Wednesday 10:30-1:30 from the Life Christian Church (1048 Castello Dr) to our Center Please, do not park in the lots directly to the left and right of our building or in the grass around the neighborhood. When our lot is full, our parking lot attendants will assist you.

The AARP Tax help is now full. If you need some help contact us for their phone number. We will be adding How to Zentangle during the Adult Coloring Class on Thursdays 1-2:30, starting April 20. Water Color Painting class on Tuesdays from 9:45-11:45 now has an instructor. Gather your friends and join us for Bridge, Mah Jongg, Cards and Marbles Game, Pinochle, Rummy, Chess, Puzzles and other card games every Friday afternoon from 1-3:30pm. Beginners to advanced players are welcome. Be sure to sign-up in Copilot in advance. Mah Jongg beginner lessons will be back on March 24, 2017, 1-3 for 6 sessions.
