  • 2Compact, self-contained unit that offer low installation cost plus dependableperformance.

    From Carrier's excellence in engineering comes a new, compact of single package cooling unit - the 50PVB090 to250 and 50PV300 to 965. They are available as water cooled package units with a capacity of 26.3kW upto 282.8kW. They are engineered for commercial or industrial applications. These units are attractivelystyled to meet your new construction or renovation needs.

    FEATURES:

    Compact design with smaller foot-print.

    50PVB200 & 250 and 50PV300 to 965 are supplied with taper lock pulleys and wedge belts for better quality and easy servicing.

    50PVB090 and 125 are supplied with - 3 speed direct driven fan motor.

    Cleanable and compact shell and tube water-cooled condenser.

    Dependable hermetic scroll compressors for 50PVB090 to 250.

    Compact shell and tube water cooled condenser with enhanced fin tubes for better performance and easy cleaning.

    Safety features like high & low pressure switches, crankcase heater, lock out relay and solid state anti short cycle timer are standard supplied with the units.

    Condenser water pipe can either be left or right side connections and easily be changed in the field.

    Slide-in or slide-out fan deck assembly for easy servicing and maintenance for 50PVB090 & 125.

    Morning Mist powder painted cabinet complies with ASTM B117 for 500 hours salt-spray test.

    Integral filter frame and cleanable type filters are factory supplied.

    Front access control with indicator light for power on and fault status are easily accessible.

    (50PV750 and 965 have side access control).

    GUIDE SPECIFICATIONS

    GENERAL

    1.1 Unit shall be single-package vertical type and shallinclude self-contained water cooled condenser(s).

    1.2 Total cooling capacity of the unit shall be _____ kW,or greater at conditions of ________ l/s evaporator airentering unit at ________ C wet bulb temperature.Total sensible capacity shall be ____________ kW orgreater with _______ C dry-bulb temperature at theabove conditions.

    1.3 Water cooled condenser shall maintain __________saturated condensing temperature when suppliedwith _______ l/min of _______ C water at a ______water fouling factor.

    1.4 Maximum water pressure drop for the condenser(s)at these conditions shall be _____ kPa.

    COMPRESSOR(S)

    2.1 50PVB090 to 250 shall be equipped with fullyhermetic scroll compressor(s).50PV300 to 50PV965 shall be equipped withserviceable semi hermetic reciprocating compressor.

    2.2 Compressor(s) shall be mounted with suitablevibration isolators, crankcase heaters, strainer(50PVB090 to 250), filter drier, discharge shut offvalves (50PV300 to 50PV965) and shall belocated in a sound attenuating compartment withinthe cabinet.

    2.3 Compressor (50PV300 to 50PV480) is equippedwith unloader for 2 steps capacity control.

    2.4 Power input to the compressor motor(s) shall notexceed _______ kW at the conditions specified.

    CABINET

    3.1 Panels shall be factory painted with durable ovencured polyester based powder paint, which canwithstand 500 hours of salt spray test and inaccordance with ASTM B117.

    3.2 Unit sections shall be insulated with 25.4 mmpolyurethene insulations to prevent sweating and tomuffle sound.

    3.3 The unit dimensions shall be __________ mm wide,_________ mm deep and _________ mm high.

    3.4 A self-contained filter frame for use with standardpermanent/throwaway filters of ______ mm x ______mm x ______ mm shall be located inside of thecabinet (50PVB090 to 250) or at the back of thecabinet (50PV300 to 50PV965). Filters shall befactory supplied.

    CONDENSER

    4.1 Water cooled condenser shall be shell in tube type. Itshall be equipped with a pressure relief device andliquid line shut off valve (50PV300 to 50PV965).

    4.2 Finned tubes shall be seamless with no interiorjoints. Threaded pipe connections shall be providedfor water supply and return lines. Each unit shallcontain a full operating refrigerant charge.

    EVAPORATOR COIL

    5.1 Evaporator coil shall be of non-ferrous constructionwith aluminium plate fins mechanically bonded toseamless copper tubing.

    5.2 Coils shall be tested at 2760 kPag air pressure whilesubmerged in water.

    5.3 Coil shall be fed by capillary tubes (50PVB090 to 250) and thermostatic expansion valve(50PV300 to 50PV965).

    EVAPORATOR AIR FAN

    6.1 Evaporator air fan shall be capable of delivery__________ l/s of air with an external static pressureof _________ Pa or greater.

    6.2 Evaporator air fan shall be centrifugal forwardcurved and direct driven (50PVB090 and 125) orbelt driven (50PVB200/250, 50PV300-965) by a motorof nominal _______ kW when operating at ______ rpm.

    6.3 Motor shall be factory supplied with 3 speed directdriven motor (50PVB090 and 125) or 1 speed TEFCtype motor (50PVB200, 250 & 50PV300 to 965).

    7.2 Optional 2" filter media is available for 50PV750 and50PV965.
