APPLICATION

DESCRIPTION • MIC-24T/21C Miniature Interface

Converter, converts between DTEs withtheV.24/RS-232 interface and DCEs with theX.21 interface at data rates up to 200kbps (see Figure 1 for the data flowdiagram).

• MIC-24T/21C performs both physical andelectrical conversion between the twointerfaces. The circuitry is designed toprovide short range interface, i.e. forconnection of co-located devices

• MIC-24T/21C has a built-in buffer toaccommodate phase differences betweenthe receive and transmit clocks of theDCE.

• No AC power is required. The device usesultra-low power derived from the DTE andDCE data and control signals.

INSTALLATION

Installation of MIC-24T/21C is straightforwardand simple, no strapping adjustments arerequired.

Proceed as follows:

1. Plug the V.24 connector directly into theDTE.

2. Plug the X.21 connector directly into theDCE.

MIC-24T/21C is ready to operate.
