Federal regulations require all ceiling fans with light kits manufactured or imported after January 1, 2009, to limit total wattage consumed by the light kit to 190W. Therefore, this fan is equipped with a wattage limiting device.

Make sure the installation site you choose allows a minimum clearance of 7 feet from the ends of the blades to the floor.6. If you are mounting the fan to a ceiling outlet box, use a METAL octagonal outlet box. Secure the box directly to the building structure. The outlet box and its support must be able to support the moving weight of the fan (at least 35 lbs.). Do NOT use a plastic outlet box.7. After you install the fan, make sure that all connections are secure to prevent the fan from falling.8. Instructions for supply connections: conductor of a fan identified as grounded conductor to be connected to a grounded conductor of power supply; conductor of a fan identified for equipment grounding to be connected to an equipment-grounding conductor.

PREASSEMBLYBe sure you read and understand the Safety Precautions at the beginning of these instructions.After opening top of carton, remove mounting hardware package from Styrofoam inserts. Do not discard fan carton or Styrofoam inserts. Should this fan need to be returned to the factory for repairs, it must be shipped in its original packaging to ensure proper protection against damage that might exceed the initial cause for return.1. Be sure all parts have been included. See parts list page. Remove motor from packing and place on carpet or on Styrofoam to avoid damage to finish.2. Carefully check all screws, bolts and nuts on fan motor assembly to ensure that they are secured.3. CAUTION: Before proceeding, be sure to shut off electricity at main switch or circuit breaker in order to avoid electrical shock.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Turn off circuit breakers and wallswitch to the fan supply line leads. Warning: Failure to disconnect power supply prior to installation may result in serious injury or death.

Check to make sure blades are at least 30 in. from any obstruction. Check downrod length to ensureblades are at least 7 ft. above the floor.

Helpful Hint: Downrod style mounting is best suited for ceilings 8 ft. (2.43 m) high or higher. For taller ceilings you may want to use a longer downrod than the ones supplied. Angle style mounting is best suited for angled or vaulted ceilings. 321 Remove pin and clip from downrod. Slip downrod into housing collar, align hole and reinstall pin and clip. Tighten downrod set screws and then tighten nuts.

Select 4 or 12-inch downrod. Insert downrod through canopy. Thread wires from motor housing through downrod.

4 5 Remove hex nut and washer

from threaded rod on light kit fitter. Punch center cap out of switch housing with a screwdriver.

6 Gently feed wires through center hole in switch housing, and then screw switch housing onto threaded rod followed by washer and hex nut. Tighten hex nut over washer for a secure fit.

Insert remaining screws. Repeat with remaining blades. Tighten all screws securely.

7 8Connect WHITE wire from light kit fitter to WHTIE wire from switch housing. Connect BLACK wire from light kit fitter to BLACK wire from switch housing.Make sure that male and female plugs connect securely.

Connect male molex from fan to female molex from switch housing. Remove three screw from fitter plate on underside of motor. Align holes in switch housing with in fitter plate. Conect male plug from motor housing to female plug from switch housing. Re-insert screws that was removed previously. Tighten all three screws securely.

10 Remove finial plate and finial nut from threaded rod on light kit fitter. If necessary thread pull chain through hole in light kit fitter. Align chain so that it does not rub against the light bulbs.

FINAL INSTALLATION /2 Position blade arm under blade.

Secure with screws and washers. Do not tighten screws until each screw has been started. Then tighten each screw starting with the center screw.

INSTALACION FINAL31 Remove back screw on left side of

hanging bracket and partially loosen the front screw. Remove front screw on right side of hanging bracket and partially loosen back screw. Lift canopy to mounting bracket and align slotted holes with loosened screws. Twist canopy to lock. Re-insert the 2 screws that were removed and tighten all screws securely.

11 Align glass shade onto threaded rod on light kit fitter followed by the finial plate, allowing the pull chains to come through the appropriate holes. Secure glass shade and finial plate with finial.

Important: Do not over tighten finial as this may cause glass to break inside.

At least twice each year, tighten all screws and lower canopy to check mounting bracket screws and downrod assembly. Clean fan housing with only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. Clean blades with a lint-free cloth. You may occasionally apply a light coat of furniture polish to wood blades for added protection. Important: Shut off main power supply before beginning any maintenance. Do not use water or a damp cloth to clean the ceiling fan.

Any damage to the ceiling fan by accident, misuse or improper installation, or by using parts not produced by the manufacturer of this fan or affixing accessories not produced by the manufacturer of this fan, are the purchaser's own responsibility. Litex Industries assumes no responsibility whatsoever for fan installation during the limited lifetime warranty. Any service performed by an unauthorized person will render the warranty invalid.

Due to varying climatic conditions, this warranty does not cover changes in brass finish, rusting, pitting, tarnishing, corroding or peeling. Brass finish fans maintain their beauty when protected from varying weather conditions. Any glass provided with this fan is not covered by the warranty.

Any replacement of defective parts for the ceiling fan must be reported within the first year from the date of purchase. For the balance of the warranty, call our customer service department at (1-800-527-1292) for return authorization and shipping instructions so that we may repair or replace the ceiling fan. Any fan or parts returned improperly packaged is/are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. There is no further express warranty. Litex Industries disclaims any and all implied warranties. The duration of any implied warranty which cannot be disclaimed is limited to the limited lifetime period as specified in our warranty. Litex Industries shall not be liable for incidental, consequential or special damages arising at or in connection with product use or performance except as may otherwise be accorded by law.
