If you are newly engaged and would like

more information about having your

wedding at St. Augustine Church, then

691-7673 at least eight (8) months prior to

your wedding date. After we establish that

you are able and free to marry, a deposit is

requested to hold your wedding date in our

parish calendar. All engaged couples are

required to enroll in the Pre-Cana Program

Fast & Abstinence�

For members of the Catholic Church, the

norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18

until age 59. When fasting, a person is

permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two

smaller meals that together are not equal to

a full meal. The norms concerning

abstinence from meat are binding upon

members of the Catholic Church from age 14

onwards.�

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are

obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for

Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent

are obligatory days of abstinence.�

Charismatic Prayer group that meet the second Wednesday of

every month �

BEREAVEMENT GROUP� Catholic Charities is sponsoring a

bereavement group for those who have lost loved ones to

addiction.��It will be here at St. Joseph’s in the library of the

parish center (34 South Chestnut St.) and each session will run

from 7:00�8:15 P.M.��The meetings will be on: March 18, April 1,

April 15, May 6, May 20 and June 3.��This is a safe,

non�judgmental forum in which you can talk, share, support

and be supported by others who have understand what you

have experienced.�Attendance is free and for more information

please contact Laura Brovich at 845�344�5565.�
