This is in the centre of the zoo, next to Gorilla Island. It’s a great place to stop for a freshly cooked breakfast, morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.We serve a wide range of food, from sandwiches, cakes and ice creams to delicious main meals, salads and jacket potatoes, plus children’s boxes. Open daily from 10.00 a.m. until half an hour before the zoo closes.

Jungle Fun is a great place for children! They can swing like our orang utans, climb like our spider monkeys, burrow through tunnels like our prairie dogs or cross bridges like our gorillas, all in our outdoor play areas. We have slides, tunnels, bridges, swings and more.

When you’re tired of looking at the animals, why not get on one? We have organised rides four times a day. Climb up onto one of our friendly ponies and go for a ride through the woods next to the zoo. We’re sure you’ll love it!

Make friends with some of the world’s most spectacular birds in our Feathered Friends Bird Show! Have fun watching them as they walk, talk and fl y around you in Pool World zone. Do a quiz and win the prize – the chance to feed the pelicans.

Up-close animal viewing and hands-on experience for kids of all ages! Visit this part of the Children’s Zoo with younger children. Here they can pick up and give food to small animals. Enter a fun and interactive world of discovery!

Their name comes from Greek and means ‘water horse’, but these animals are not like horses at all. Come to their pool and watch them play in the water. Although they spend most of their time in the pool, they can’t swim. These big brown animals only run and jump off the bottom of their pool.
