CSQ – EFQM partner organization
• CSQ is an independent, non-political and
non-profit organization.
• CSQ is an association of individuals involved in quality or interested in quality as consumers or customers.
• CSQ offers licensed EFQM products.
• CSQ strives to be a good example for Czech organizations.
• Excellence Centre – established in 2013.
First impulse
• Our target is to offer verified products.
• Decision to verify the EFQM product – Committed to Excellence recognition scheme.
• Teambuilding for CSQ management and volunteers based on Grid.
• Grid – special method teaching how to understand the human behavior.
• Capability to work together, listen to our colleagues, understand their arguments.
Project team
• Support from CSQ top management.
• President and Managing director became members of the team.
• Other members – representatives of the board of directions and volunteers from CSQ.
• Start – the introductory training
• Familiarization with the Committed to Excellence scheme, Business Excellence Matrix and the process of SA.
Self-assessment tool - BEM
• BEM – Business Excellence Matrix.
• Assessing organization and its performance according to RADAR logic and principles:

Self-assessment process
• The whole team was divided into 5 working
groups which prepared the materials for selected criteria.
• Series of consensus meetings and WSs over the filled BEM with participation of the whole project team.
• Outputs:
• Agreed BEM including scoring and tens of Ss and AFIs identified during the whole SA process.
Our BEM
Prioritization
• Selection of the most important strengths an
areas for improvement for all 9 criteria.
• Decision to built on the areas for improvement.
• Individual and team prioritization of improvement activities using the impact vs. ease prioritization tool.
• Definition of 3 most important priorities.
Improvement projects
• Project 1:
Identify the stakeholders and define their needs and expectations.
• Project 2:
Create draft update of the ethical code for CSQ members and compile the ethical code for EA CSQ employees.
• Project 3:
Update the vision, mission and strategic plans (as per the new/updated documented procedures).
Action plan
• Information about the process of self assessment.
• Strengths and opportunities for improvement.
• Rationel for prioritisation of improvement activities.
• List of projects.
• Impact and relevance of improvement projects.
• Time schedule.
• Detailed plans for each project.
Conclusion
• Description of the current status of CSQ and
its performance.
• Identification of strengths and areas for improvement.
• Teamwork development.
• Building corporate culture.
• Ability to manage improvement projects.
• Initiation of continuous and systematic improvement in CSQ.
