I’m a pocket gopher. Thereason it is called apocket gopher isbecause of the pocketsin its mouth. The pocketgopher is very similar toa rodent. A rodent is amammal that has 2 sharpteeth for bitting.

The pocket gopher isprotected by its motherfor 18 to 19 days, then it’snot protected. They areusually born from Marchto June. Their life is aboutfive years long.

HABITAT SWEET HABITAT

The pocket gopherlives on grasslands.The pocket gopherlives in the middle ofthe U.S. and Canada.

WHAT’S ON THE MENU?

The pocket gopherseat vegetables, grass,and nuts.

MAKING TRACKS

The pocket gopher’stracks are a roundpalm with five roundfingers and claws.You would find thetrack in dirt.

The pocket gopher livesin Canada in grassyplains. It eats nuts,vegetables, roots,and grass. The pocketgopher has poucheson its cheeks.
