Introduction
•3,700 sf space in a downtown hi-rise for a new location of an
existing nursery school program.
• The design’s open floor plan and use of color and light
support the school’s mission of educating toddlers and pre-
schoolers.

A curved yellow wall creates a warm, welcoming entrance to the

Column
One of the building's supporting columns has storage built around it and provides a "tree" for displaying
artwork.
Kitchen
The kitchen area and cubbies for children's storage.
Art
Art sink at right is easily accessible from classroom area.
House
"Pumpkin Patch" play structure creates multiple play areas, all
visible from the classrooms.
Window
The "Pumpkin Patch" provides a sheltered play area while still
allowing visibility from inside and out.
Computer
Suspended airplane lamps help define the computer area.
