6th European Youth Camp presented by Rotary Clubs Bad Homburg and Friedrichsdorf and the City of Bad Homburg, June 21th – June 29rd, 2019 in Bad Homburg The Rotary Clubs Bad Homburg Kurpark and Friedrichsdorf in cooperation with the Mayor of the City Bad Homburg are inviting young people situated in the twin cities of Bad Homburg as well as from European countries to participate in the European Youth Camp in Bad Homburg. Invitations are to be addressed to up to 20 young people in total. For this project we kindly ask for your support. This means in particular passing on this invitation e.g. to German schools as well as Goethe institutions. Main topic: The European Ideal, in reality! Within their ten-days stay in Bad Homburg the young people, coming from different parts of Europe will have the opportunity to work on a project, together with other young people about the same age, from a school in Bad Homburg. During the Youth Camp in 2019 once again a well-known role-playing about European Politics and international Security will be in the center (POL&IS). It will be conducted by very experienced game leaders, specially trained officers of the German army, who will act as head of the simulation. In 2017 and 2018 the game was performed with a huge success and great enthusiasm of all participants. POL&IS meaning Politics and International Security is an interactive role-based simulation, which contains a specific set of rules which refer to political connections. This makes POL&IS easily understandable and perceptible. POL&IS addresses international relations in connection with issues from politics, economy, environment and security in an interactive manner. Main topic:The European Ideal, in reality!
