• Training should be an ongoing process.

• Enough resources should be available at

all units to work on all modules of Police

IT.

• All the officers/officials who have been

transferred to the unit, should be trained

immediately by the existing staff who are already

trained in Police IT.

� A training server may be set up at the unit level to conduct

� At least one officer/official in every unit (including

Police Stations) should be conversant with all the

modules

� In case any assistance is required Unit Officers/

Nodal Officers should contact IGP, PCW.

� Officers have never contacted IGP, PCW regarding

any issues related to training/ implementation of

Application Training (Contd..)

setup by Nodal officers.

their respective units.

Police IT- Module Status

• Four modules deployed on the 6th April 2011

• FSL, Wireless, AR & MT

• Large number of pilots held last year

• Pilot of Crime, Law & Order and Traffic

successfully functioning in 11 Districts, 3

Commissionerates and 4 divisions of Bangalore

• Phased deployment to be completed by the

end of May 2011

Police IT- Module Status

• MIS module has been developed, would be

improved based on the feedback of

deployment.

• It is being effectively used across 18 units• It is being effectively used across 18 units

• Training module is under pilot since 4th Oct

2010

• Pilot for Finance and Stores on 5th April 2011

• Software is fully complete but for CR4 changes

in Admin module and gradual improvements in

MIS

• These links are being monitored using NMS.

• 1396 Locations are connected with VPNoBB.

• All are working fine.

• 4 locations are not feasible. Alternate

connectivity will be provided soon.

in 1348 Locations.

•Shifting of VPNoBB connection for newly

created PSs are in progress.

•Unsecured Wi-Fi should be disabled.

•A dedicated team is deployed for Data Center

• Active Directory implementation will be carried out
