Features and Benefits of HRR
1. Waste minimization from post consumer foods, solids and liquids currently going to landfills and thermal conversion.2. Production of electricity for local grid or dedicated use customers3. Production of vehicle grade CNG to reduce use of import fuels4. Creation of local jobs in farming, and plant operation5. Re purposing of fallow land for energy and local food production6. Reestablishment of the local pig, fish, and chicken production thru supply of lower cost Hawaii certified feeds.7. Production of fertilizers, compost and nutrient irrigation water to aid Hawaii farmers for local food production to reduce dependency on imports.9. Local education of Secondary students and University of Hawaii curriculum in Sustainable/Renewable technology options in Real Practice.9. Applied education site for UH West Campus in sustainable technology.10. Zero discharge and zero impact from plant operations.11. Exportable technology for other Pacific Rim nations with energy and food production issues.12. Recovery of process heat for use in cold storage of food products.
