6 46 th Annual Sharon Audubon Festival Saturday’s Featured Performers Skyhunters in Flight Brian Bradley Saturday, August 10 th , 3:30 pm B rian Bradley has been a falconer and animal trainer for over twenty years. His passion for the outdoors and birds of prey began as a child. At age 14 he became an apprentice falconer and crafted his skills under the tutelage of famous falconer and biology professor Heinz Meng. Today his love of raptors and a desire to educate others about these magnificent creatures led to the creation of Skyhunters in Flight - an educational program with performing birds of prey. S kyhunters is a detailed look into the world of raptors. The program examines the natural history and biology of birds of prey from around the world. Learn about the ancient sport of falconry. Experience the silent flight of an owl. Watch a hawk and hunting dog work together, and see a falcon chase a lure at high speed. This informative, action-oriented program offers something for everyone. Folktales Eshu Bumpus Saturday, August 10 th , 1:00 pm E shu is a renowned storyteller, an accomplished jazz vocalist and a master at physical characterization. He has performed on the Exchange Place stage at the National Festival, and performed 36 sold out shows in 13 days at the Smithsonian. After appearing at the 10 th Annual Connecticut Storytelling Festival, Eshu was acclaimed as,“ … a fresh, responsible and knowledgeable voice... distinct and compelling... the hit of the Festival.” He has travelled extensively visiting schools, organizations and municipalities telling stories, singing songs and offering writing workshops and drama residencies. To date, this multi-talented artist has presented programs in 18 different states across America. We are excited to have Eshu with us to share his repertoire of world stories and songs at the Sharon Audubon Festival.
