COMPUTERComputer is an electronic device that is

designed to work with Information. The term computer is derived from the Latin term ‘computare’, this means to calculate or programmable machine. Computer can not do anything without a Program. It represents the decimal numbers through a string of binary.



INPUT DEVICES• An input device is any hardware device

that sends data to a computer, allowing you to interact with and control the computer. The most commonly used or primary input devices on a computer are the keyboard & mouse.



OUTPUT DEVICES• An output device is any device used to

send data from a computer to another device or user. Most computer data output that is meant for humans is in the form of audio or video. Thus, most output devices used by humans are in these categories. Examples include monitors, projectors, speakers, headphones and printers.



HARDWARE• Hardware is best described

as any physical component of a computer system that contains a circuit board, ICs, or other electronics without any hardware, your computer would not exist, and software could not be used.

• A central processing unit (CPU) is the electronic circuitry within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions.

MOTHERBOARD• The motherboard is a printed circuit

board that is the foundation of a computer, located on the back side or at the bottom of the computer chassis. It allocates power and allows communication to the CPU, RAM, and all other computer hardware components.



PROCESSOR• A computer's processor is the control center for

the computer, and it carries out the computations that allow the computer to function. The circuits in this central processing unit (or CPU) send commands to the other components of the computer to run programs, accept input and produce output



SMPS• A switched-mode power supply

(SMPS) is an electronic circuit that converts power using switching devices that are turned on and off at high frequencies, and storage components such as inductors or capacitors to supply power when the switching device is in its non-conduction state.

• A switched-mode power supply is also known as a switch-mode power supply or switching-mode power supply.
