I am sure that as a parent you appreciate the effort given by the staff in writing these detailed reports. P&C News

Next P&C Meeting – TUESDAY 6 August (Term 3 Week 3) We would love to see you all at the next meeting, or if you have any suggestions or questions but are unable to make

it, please contact the P&C via email on: [email protected]. Contact Us

If you have any suggestions or questions, please contact the P&C via email [email protected] or join our school community Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/carltonpandc/. We have 170 members on Facebook now and it’s a great place to stay in touch, be informed and ask questions of the P&C or fellow parents at our school. Road Safety Competition Road Safety is a regular item on the P&C agenda in our goal to keep the school community as safe as possible from avoidable accidents and injury.

Next week a poster competition will commence where children will be asked to present a poster on specific road safety rules. On Wednesday of Week 10 (3/7/19), I will announce the winners from each grade to receive a prize. The P&C is currently negotiating with local businesses regarding the prizes. ie Office works vouchers, movie vouchers etc. I will keep you updated. The Road Rules for each grade are: Kindergarten: “ Holding hands when crossing the road at crossings” Year One: “Wearing seat belts and young children not sitting in the front seat of a car.” Year Two: “ Speeding “ particularly around school zones Years 3- 6 : “ Double Parking & Parking in No Parking Zones. The school curriculum is full at present so we ask that the children complete the Posters at home. This will lead to a constructive family conversation about appropriate road safety practices. The teachers will continue to reinforce the positive practices at school. Many thanks for your support and involvement.
