Thischapter also allows the installer to record the necessary information tocomplete the installation, as well as to record the programming values.Refer to the tables in paragraphs 2.3.2, 2.3.3, 2.3.4, 2.3.5, 2.3.6, 2.3.7 ofthis Installation Guide for the programming of the generator set-upsubmenu.

    2.3.1 Tube selection

Prior to beginning tube calibration, the tube used in the installation mustbe properly selected, and generator limits should be programmed.

2.3.1.1 X-ray tube present in library

If the x-ray tube used in the installation is present in the library of the

generator refer to the Generator Service Manual, chapter 3C -Programming the generator in order to record all the necessaryinformation to program the generator set-up.

The configuration of the starter board it is requested too. Refer to theGenerator Service Manual, chapter 2 - Programming the low speedstarter-Programming the dual speed starter to record the necessaryinformation to complete the configuration.

NOTE: The tube library, concerning the I.A.E. X-ray tubes, contains only highspeed tube types. When a low speed I.A.E. X-ray tube has to be installedan high speed tube must be selected informing the generator about thelow speed tube. The generator and the tube limits must be set inaccording with the tube type installed.

2.3.1.2 Loading X-ray tube data from GenWare® utility software

If the X-ray tube used in the installation is not present in the library ofthe generator should be present in the utility software. The datacommunication with a computer it is allowed using the GenWare® utilitysoftware. Refer to the Generator Service Manual, chapter 3C - DATA LINKto record the necessary information.

2.3.1.3 X-ray tube not present neither in library nor in GenWare® utility

    software

If the x-ray tube used in the installation is not present neither in thegenerator library nor in the GenWare® utility software a manual settingof the tube and generator parameters is required. Before changing theseparameters is strictly recommended to consult the data sheet of the x-raytube that is going to be installed. An X-ray tube present in the library orin the GenWare® utility software, as similar as possible to the one isgoing to be installed, can be selected. The tube and the generatorparameter required in the generator set-up must be set in according withthe information recorded from the data sheet of the x-ray tube. Refer tothe Generator Service Manual, chapter 3C - Tube selection andGenerator limits in order to record all the necessary information to

program the generator set-up. The configuration of the starter board it is requested too. Refer to theGenerator Service Manual, chapter 2 - Programming the low speedstarter - Programming the dual speed starter to record the necessaryinformation to complete the configuration.
