May 26, 2019 6th Sunday of Easter
Acts of the Apostles 15:1-2, 22-29 Psalm 67:2-3, 5-6, 8
Revelation 21:10-14, 22-23 John 14:23-29
Instead of a reading from one of the let-
ters (epistles) during this Easter season, our 2nd
reading has been from Revelation. This book was written by St. John the Evangel-
ist based on a vision he experienced from God. It is the final book of our Bible and contains many chal-lenges and symbolic images, but ultimately shows
the triumph of God over Satan. The light of the Lamb and promise of comfort is meant to encourage and sustain us in hope - God ultimately wins! Persevere.
