7 Habits for Stakeholders
• Attend the Daily Scrum
• Note the Story Flow throughout a Sprint
• Focus on a Specific Goal
• Encourage a Constant Velocity
• Win Early, Win Often
• Promote Continuous Learning
• Support the Team
• Don’t talk• Ask clarifying questions - at the end• Ensure informative status’ are provided• Ensure team members are engaged• Identify obstacles
• Don’t Hijack the Meeting!
1. Attend Daily Standup Meetings
• No work item should take longer that 5 days• No worker should have more than two work items• Understand what ‘done’ means• Ask questions and help remove blocks
2. Note Progress Flow
• Create a release mission statement• Resist the urge to pull team members off• Resist the urge to have the team follow tangents
3. Focus on a Specific Goal

• Team Composition - Are the right people with the right skills on the team?
• Process - Understand that simply introducing new practices will cause disruption
• Environmental Factors - Interruptions, noise, ventilation, etc.
• Team Dynamics - Some team members may not play nicely

• Avoid changing out team members• Avoid pulling team members onto other
projects• Be responsive to the team’s request for
information and involvement• Set reasonable expectations of the team

team on each project.
