After arrival at Kaimana Airport and a short

on board, followed by an introduction to
the crew and a tour of the yacht. We will
DAY 1 – KAIMANA
then set sail to the entrance of Triton Bay
(3 hours) where we can relax in a sheltered
bay and sample a variety of watersports offered
by Rascal.
Diving
DAY 2 – TRITON BAY
An early cruise into the dramatic mouth of
Triton Bay, which extends some 50 kilometres
inland. Admire the flourishing coral reefs,
looming ‘castles’ of limestone, and beyond
them the high mountains of New Guinea’s
virgin jungle. Spot the exotic birds and insect-
eating plants. Slip into the crystal clear water
for some world-class diving with an immense
variety of fish and coral species.
A short, early cruise brings us to Namatote. We
will visit the charming little village of Maimai
to ask the chief for his permission to swim with
the whale sharks. This is the only place in the
world where they don’t migrate and haunt the
‘bagans’ or fishing platforms all year round.
Sperm whales are often spotted here too. We
will then take a tender cruise to look for the
very ancient cliff paintings which abound in
the area.
DAY 3 – NAMATOTE
DAY 4 – KITI KITI WATERFALL
Fishing
We will arrive in the Wayag archipelago in the
early morning. The jewel of Raja Kiti Kiti is a
large and powerful waterfall cascading straight
into a beautiful bay. It has long been used by
locals to replenish their water supplies. We can
enjoy a natural shower, lounge on the beach,
explore the rainforest, and maybe even spot a
tree kangaroo. This is an interesting fresh water
spot to dive or snorkel in, as it harbours still
undescribed endemic species.
Pisang Island is a perfect pit stop on our way to Misool. Completely isolated,
it is a sheltered bay between a group of small islands with a beautiful beach.
This place is perfect for diving and watersports.
DAY 5 – PISANG ISLAND
Turtle Spotting
Another magical place, Wayil Batan is ideal
for exploring the is land’s shal low bays
with paddleboards and sea turtle spotting.
Wakeboarding amongst these little mushroom
islands is another way to explore the abundant
DAY 6 – WAYIL BATAN
beauty of the Indonesian archipelago.
Bird lovers will be happy to hear that the
birdlife close to the reef is bountiful, with
the likes of lorikeets, parrots and hornbills
regularly spotted.
Another early start takes us to the amazing
Tomolol Bay on Misool Island. The bay bristles
with hundreds of small karst formation
islands, each completely different from one
another. It is a winding paradise with dramatic,
lush scenery and crystal clear water. We will
visit a massive stalactite cave where we can
DAY 7 – TOMOLOL
swim. Apart from a ray of natural light shining
through a slit in the cave ceiling, the cave is
completely dark, giving that sense of escape
from reality. It is no wonder that this is a sacred
place for the local people. In the evening, we
will enjoy a memorable beach BBQ prepared
by our crew.
Overnight we cruise to Sorong. Guests disembark after
brunch, and the crew transfer guests to the airport.
DAY 8 – SORONG
