Our students have been taking the advantage of learning English language and
attaining the universally recognized certificates of Cambridge University at our Scope
Centre. Furthermore we are going to introduce various need based courses including the
Translation Proficiency Course granted by U.G.C.
We at Godhaniya college believe to deliver the best possible results by means of
the most effective methods. Thus, we not only employ various methods and techniques
like lecturing, group discussion, seminars, tutorials, assignments, project work and so on
but also utilize all the available resources like multimedia projectors.
9. Evaluation :Evaluation process is carried out as per the CBCS of Saurashtra university which
consists of 30% internal marks and 70% external marks. The internal evaluation is
conducted to ensure continuous and multifaceted learning of the students, consisting of
assignments, M.C.Qs., and seminars each having equal weightage of 10%.
A candidate for the degree of B.Com. must have passed the higher secondary with
subjects and percentage of marks laid down by the Saurashtra university and admission
to the first semester will be granted as per
per order of merit determined on the
basis of marks.

R.B. Commerce : 6 : A Candidate duly admitted
in Sem. I shall be eligible for admission up to Sem. IV, provided he/she gradually appears
in internal (CCA) and external (SEE) components of the examination of Semester II, III and
IV. In case of admission to Semester V, the candidate should have cleared all the courses
of at least three semesters out of four semester referred above. A candidate shall be
eligible for admission to Semester VI without any backlog of Semester I to IV has
appeared in the internal (CCA) & external (SEE) examination of Semester V.
The result of semester VI will be declared only when he/she have cleared all the
courses of Semester I to V and obtained minimum credits and percentage of marks in
each of the course as prescribed in the syllabus.

13. Code of Conduct :1. Rules of the institution must be observed strictly.
2. College prayer begins at 7:20 a.m. It is compulsory for the students to be
punctual and regular in college prayer as well as academic classes.
3. Students are expected to maintain self - discipline.
4. Each student must have at least 80 % attendance.
5. Students must show due respect to all the staff members of the college.
6 Students must wear simple and dignified dress.
( Green top and bottom with white cuffs and collar and white color chunni.)
7. Students are not allowed to bring cell phones to the college.
8. Students must not indulge in any kind of destructive activity.
9. Students must maintain complete silence and decorum in the class-rooms,
library, corridors, college premises etc.
10. Students during free periods, should not loiter to and fro in the college
premises but should engage themselves in fruitful activities.
11. Students should cultivate reading habits and look up for important instructions
on the notice board everyday.
12. In case of leave from the class, an application for leave of absence should be
sent by student / parent / guardian to the Principal on the very next day.
13. Students are expected to maximize the use of the library.
14. All internal tests conducted by the college are compulsory. Absence due to
unavoidable reasons must be notified to the Principal in writing after getting it
countersigned by the subject teacher.
15. Complaints and grievances should be made to the Principal through Grievance
Redressal Cell or Complaint Box.4
16. Student will not be called to answer telephone calls during teaching hours.
Messages if any, will be conveyed to them after the teaching hours.
17. Students are expected to participate in all extra - curricular activities and
functions organized by the college.
18. Courtesy and good manners have to be observed at all the times.
19. Students must always try to live up to the good name and reputation of the
institute.
20. All the students admitted to this college should abide by the above mentioned
rules.
14. College Library Rules & Regulations:1. College library remains open from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the Faculty of Arts /
Commerce and Home Science and from 1:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for the faculty of
Information Technology.
2. Absolute order and complete silence must be maintained in the library.
3. Students permitted to use the library, must not tear off pages, disfigure or
deface by writing in margins or by underlining in the books, periodicals, maps or
charts.
4. No personal belongings shall be allowed to be carried by the readers beyond
the issue counter.
5. A book once issued, is allowed to be kept for 15 days. A member, therefore will
have to return the book within the stipulated time limit.
6. If a member requires to keep the same book for a longer period than the
prescribed time limit, he/she will have to return it first within time limit.
Afterwards, if possible, it shall be issued again.
7. If books issued to a member are found defaced, mutilated or torn at the time of
return, he/she will have to replace them or pay the price. Students are,
therefore, advised to scrutinize books thoroughly before getting issued.
8. No tracing or mechanical reproduction of any book, map or manuscript shall be
made without the written permission of the concerned authority.
9. If a book issued is lost by a member, he/she will have to pay its price according
to the price list of the Library Register.
10. Periodicals/Encyclopedia are not issued to the students. They are allowed to
read them in the library itself during free periods.
11. College authority reserves the right to cancel the membership of irregular
students.

12. Any violation of the Library Rules shall render a member lose his/her privilege
of borrowing books from the library.
15. Enrollment for borrowing Books :A student will be enrolled in the library at the beginning of the academic session
with his/her fee receipt and identity card.
16. Prizes for Academic Distinction :With a view to encourage and appreciate the efforts of the students who
distinguish themselves in the various activities of the college and at the University
Examinations, the college has instituted a number of prizes to be awarded during the
Annual Function of the college.
1. Smt. Jayshreeben Virambhai Godhaniya gold medals are awarded to final year
students who stand first in their respective Faculties at the University
Examination.
2. Prizes and certificates are awarded to the students of B.A./B.Com./B.SC.
/M.A.(English) who secure first class at the University Examinations every year.
3. In addition, as an incentive, certificates are awarded to all the students who
participate in various co - curricular activities organized by the institute.
