Jerusalem (Zion).

• God had appointed these

times as festivals for them

to come together toworship Him at His

temple.

• The pilgrim psalms served

as encouragement to the

people on the journey and

helped them focus on the

goal (worship at Zion)

are “pilgrims,” just like the Israelites.

Being Pilgrims

• Consider eternity when you make

decisions—“How will this matter when I am in Zion?” 

• Living a pilgrim’s life will be tough,

but remember God is always there toprotect and sustain you.

• Take a step of faith this week—do

something you know you should do,

but have been hesitant because you

don’t know how it will work out.
