Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches: SUNDAY PRAYER LINK

Please pray for physical and spiritual protection for Rev. Dr. Terry Smith, Executive Director for Canadian Bap-tist Ministries as he gives leadership to this broad and diverse ministry interna-tionally. Pray for CBM office staff & global field staff and their families. Par-ticularly pray for those from Atlantic Canada: Darrell & Laura Lee Bustin (Rwanda), Paul Carline (CABC Inter-cultural Ministries), Jeff & Deann Carter (Czech Republic), Dan & Melody Grove (Cameroon), Aaron & Erica Ken-ny (Africa Team Leaders), Bruno & Kathleen Soucy (Latin America Team Leaders), Michael & Melanie Waddell (Philippines), Louise Knowles (Youth & Young Adult Engagement), Randy Stanton (Regional Rep., Atlantic Cana-da). Pray particularly for those who are far away from family members, friends and colleagues.

CBM PRAYERLINE

GLOBAL Friday, April 22 is Earth Day. Let us thank God for all the ways that he uses creation to provide for our needs and for his deep care for the earth and all living things on it. If we believe that God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, then we can pray for God’s help as we aim to protect, preserve and nurture what-ever part of creation he has placed on our hearts. Ask the Lord for opportunities to be even better stewards of creation through our church, communities, and families.

GERMANY Please pray for CBM’s Chinese Ministries team leaders, John and Ruth Chan, and for the work that is being done throughout Germany and Asia with their team partners. Their heart for the vibrant ministry of evangelism and disciple-ship they are leading in Germany is evident through the fruit that has been bearing among the students they encounter, who are studying abroad before returning to Asia. Chinese stu-dents have been experiencing transformation, and are making an impact in their own circles. God has opened many doors for Christian re-sponse, so please pray for continued sensitivity to these opportunities at this critical time of church growth in East Asia.

KENYA Please pray for two sisters from Moncton, NB, currently in Kenya on Short-Term Mission, working as volunteer lecturers at schools under CBM’s partner, the Africa Brotherhood Church. The ABC is an indigenous Kenyan denomina-tion with over 1.5 million members in their churches with a heart for integral mission. In partnership, we support programs like Guardi-ans of Hope, which is an HIV and AIDS minis-try, as well as food security and leadership training. Please pray for our partner, and for the churches in Kenya as they seek to be a light among the communities they work in.
