Just 97 years ago, in a little town of Houma, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans, Momma Pearl
Theriot was born. She was blessed with 13 children and uncounted grand, great-grand, and great-great
-grand children. Throughout the years Momma Pearl fed her 8 sons and 5 daughters some of the best
food on the planet; Louisiana Cajun recipes passed down from generation to generation. Now, thanks
to a little lady named Hurricane Katrina, Chef “BB” Brunet, the 10th of Momma Pearl’s brood, is here
in Colorado Springs. In August of 2013, Chef “BB” opened “Momma Pearl’s® Cajun Kitchen” with
one goal in mind, to continue the tradition of serving real Southern Louisiana cuisine from those same
authentic recipes, made from the freshest ingredients and a whole lot of love for the best combination of
flavors you’ve ever had. Nearly five years later, we’ve enjoyed the company of thousands from all over
Southern Colorado. Momma Pearl’s has also been recognized as the GOLD winner for
the “Best Of” Cajun Food Restaurant by readers of the Colorado Springs Gazette for the
