Sri Indu Institute of Engineering and Technology was established by Global Trendset Educational

Society - 2006, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad under the chairmanship of Sri. R. Venkat Rao. The

institution is situated with an extent of 54 acres on the Nagarjuna Sagar highway at a distance of 15KM

from L B Nagar, Hyderabad, Telangana . The college is recognized under 2(f) of UGC act 1956 approved

by the AICTE, New Delhi and permanently affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University,

Hyderabad, Telangana.

Infrastructure:

The institution’s strength and foundation is infrastructure. It plays a significant role in the

development of the institution. The SIIET has a well infrastructure consisting of wide roads, spacious

buildings with good furniture. The class rooms and the laboratories have been upgraded and modernized

for ten years for better maintenance. Sincere efforts are made to develop cost effective and sustainable

infrastructure for effective teaching and learning. As per the instructions of the head of the departments

priority list is prepared which are analyzed by the management which depends the procurement of

infrastructure. The management which includes local committee places the requirements which are

executed by the college management meets four times a year.

The college has three buildings, namely CSE Block, ECE Block and CIVIL & 1St Year Block, all

are consisting of three floors each. Apart from these there are two workshops and generator room and one

security room.

CSE Block:

Ground Floor: This floor consists of several facilities which include seminar hall, 4 laboratories,

administrative room and examination branch.

First Floor: This floor consists of 8 laboratories, CSE HOD, Staff cabins along with 4 class rooms.

Second Floor: This floor consists of Library, Staff cabins along with 4 class rooms.

Third Floor: This floor consists of 2 laboratories, Staff cabins and Drawing hall along with 7 class

rooms.

CSE Block

ECE Block:

Ground Floor: This floor consists of one seminar hall, 4 laboratories and staff room.

First Floor: This floor consists of 1 laboratory, HOD, Staff cabins along with 4 class rooms.

Second Floor: This floor consists of 1 laboratory, Staff cabins along with 5 class rooms.

Third Floor: This floor consists of 1 staff room, 2 laboratories along with 6 class rooms.

ECE Block

CIVIL and 1st Year Block:

Ground Floor: This floor consists of placement cell, 2 staff rooms along with 6 laboratories.

First Floor: This floor consists of 3 laboratories along with 5 class rooms.

Second Floor: This floor consists of 2 laboratories and 6 class rooms.

Third Floor: This floor consists of 2 staff cabins and 6 class rooms and 2 drawing rooms.

CIVIL & 1st Year Block

Academic activities: Sri Indu Institute of Engineering and Technology has well-equipped laboratories as

per the AICTE norms and regulations. Each lab is supervised by one faculty supported by a co-faculty

along with instructors/ technical assistant, who provides constant support and for ensuring the

maintenance of laboratories. Apart from regular labs, we have R&D Labs, industry tie up in order to

bridge the gap between the curriculum and industry. Every equipment in the lab is recorded manually in

stock register and the same is maintained.

Co-curricular activities: Co-curricular activities can provide the clarity required for an academic

concept to make sense, and improve learning capabilities. The institution encourages the students to take

part in Co-curricular activities such as Quiz, Debates, Painting, Group Discussion, Dance, music etc.

These activities will reinforce the caliber of students and help them to have full-fledged growth in their

academics and career.

Library: The library is automated with NEWGENLIB Software through Barcode technology and well-

established Digital library with good Internet facility. The library consists of 17,627 volumes

with 3580 titles of all branches, apart from books and print journals there are more than 5000 Full Text e-

journals available from J-Gate Engineering & Technology, DELNET. The Digital Library houses a

good number of computers for browsing, accessing e-journals, e-books and for searching the Library

database using OPAC (online public access catalog).

Canteen: There is a hygienic, multi-cuisine vegetarian canteen providing delicious food not only for day-

scholars and hostlers but also for the visitors of the college.

IT Facilities:

All departments are provided with internet connectivity. In addition to that, an external drive for

taking backups on a regular basis. The total numbers of 830 systems are installed with antivirus software.

All computers are always maintained in good condition .All equipment are always checked for wear and

tear and replaced with new or repaired one every semester. Laboratories have got required hardware and

licensed software to function program with specified curriculum. To conduct lab smoothly, sufficient

personal computers are available. Various Safety measures are taken including safety tools, first aid box

are provided in all the laboratories

LAN Facility: We have 24 data network switches (Giga Byte) for 1500 users simultaneously with 100

Mbps of internet connectivity is shared across the campus for the students.

Wi-Fi: Sri Indu Institute of Engineering and Technology is a Wi-Fi enabled campus and all students are

provided access to the Wi-Fi network.

Transportation:

Sri Indu Institute of Engineering and Technology caters the needs and demands of students with

regarding the transportation both for faculty and students with bus services covering from different areas

of the city to the Institute. The buses are safe, economical and comfortable.

Our institute is providing a large playing field in order to support a wide range of both indoor and

outdoor games, Viz., Volleyball, Throw Ball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, Badminton, Weight

Lifting, Power Lifting, Chess, and Caroms. SIIET also has the area meant for Yoga and gymnasium

comprising all facilities.
