SITUATIONThe subject property occupies a controlled landside location to the south of the main terminal building which is accessed via an internal airport roadway with controlled security access.

Airside access from the property is directly onto a large apron with direct access to taxiways leading to the main runway.

DESCRIPTIONBuilt in 2000, the subject property comprises an aircraft hangar with capability to accommodate up to a single B747 aircraft or a minimum of three A320s. The property is of steel portal frame construction with a reinforced concrete slab forming the ground floor. The roof is pitched and formed in a built up cladding system as are the building elevations. The subject property has a minimum eaves height in the order of 21m.

The main hangar doors are complete with outriggers and are electronically operated. They can be operated separately or in groups and allow 100% access over the width of the hangar. Fully open, the clear span is approximately 71m wide by 20m high.

Heating is by way of a ducted warm air heating system.Pendant lighting is provided and the hangar benefits from natural lighting via rooflights.

Internally, office accommodation is provided within a two storey portakabin which also contains staff facilities including WCs and a shower-room. Two further pods contain a staff canteen, offices and storage accommodation.
