As the source and summit of our faith, we celebrate Christ’s enduring presence with us in the mystery of the Eucharist. Here we encounter his love and healing, here we are strengthened and nourished to live the Gospel and to hope for a share in his eternal life.

Returning from battle, Abraham meets the king of Salem who invites him to offer bread and wine to the Lord. In what is the first written account of the Last Supper, Saint Paul reminds us that he is handing on what he received regarding the true meaning of the Eucharist. Perhaps you have already read Bishop Gary’s letter about an on-line program to provide abuse prevention training entitled “Armatus: Learn To Protect”. Our parish is made up of many gifted and talented volunteers, who regularly volunteer in at least one Ministry. If you are involved in any ministry at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, you will be contacted. Our parish staff have already completed their on-line courses and we will soon be asking our volunteers to do the same. Fr. Alfredo, our Responsible Ministry Coordinator (Ann Glas), the Parish Council and our Ministry Coordinators will be meeting on July 4th to receive their orientation and training first, in order to support our volunteers in their Ministries to complete the program.
