4POWER CARDS :The function of power card is to take -48v and distribute it to various other minor cards.PWSA(AC type)PWSB/PWSC(DC type)There are 3 power cards.One power card support 6TRX cards thus 2 power cards will support 12TRX. (1 card is always for stand by)
5TRX BASE BAND UNIT :
6BB2F FUNCTIONS :It is known as status card for TRX cards.It is basically a DSP(digital signal processor).One BB2F card take care of two TRX cards.BB2F card should be in order for proper operation of TRX.

TRX CARDS :
Front view15TRX CARDS :One BTS support maximum 12 TRX cards.TRX card functionality is both transmit and receive.One TRX card perform modulation , demodulation and amplification for one RF carrier.Handles both downlink and uplink signal.It basically transmit and receive without any Digital Signal Processing.TRX card depend on BB2F card for DSP.
16DUPLEXER FUNCTIONS:Performs duplex operation of both TX & RX into one antenna.Provide filtering and amplification for both main and diversity signal from antenna.It contains LNA(low noise amplifier) for amplification.
17MULTICOUPLER:It performs signal splitting for both main and diversity signal.Multicoupler is of two types: 2- way 6- way
One multicoupler handles two TRX cards.

27COMMISSIONING :Commissioning is a process of making a BTS ready for operational use.There are three steps for commissioning Nokia BTS : Hardware configurator . Software downloader. Hub Manager.
28DRAWBACKS :Ultra BTS support only 2G technology.Ultra BTS support maximum 12TRX.Ultra BTS has all the pin connections on the back plane. If any of the pin of a particular slot is damaged then that slot becomes useless.
