Let’s take a closer look ‘Bollywood on Wheels’Bollywood on wheels returned this February 2018, in partnership with Tamquest. The Bollywood movie Sultan was screened at Al Futtaim and Emirates Building System blue collared labour camps. With over 2,000 in attendance, our Exchangers were busy handing out snacks and drinks.

TaahelTaahel kicked off this quarter.The programme teaches 30 students from the Emirates Red Crescent’s Rawafed programme the basics of CV writing, applications and interviews. This 9 month programme, utilises our Exchanger’s skills and experience in businessto prepare the students for the working world.

This year, Emirates NBD will align its CSR initiatives with the Year of Zayed, honouring the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Braille PrinterNovember 2017 saw the launch of the Braille Printer at our Jumeirah Beach Road branch, assisting customers with visual impairments. The printer is currently configured to only print account opening forms, but can now print statements, Customer Information File (CIF) and other customer request forms.
“The Braille printing …is of a high standard and very helpful for people with visual impairment...it can be printed in English and/or Arabic makes it very comfortable for any customer to independently open an account and know what he/she is signing.”

Our Environmental ChampionOn 4 February 2018 at 6:30 AM, Mohammed Rehan Shaikh embarked on the 2 hour, 28 km cycle from his home in Sharjah to our Meydan offices. Supporting Dubai Municipalities Car Free Day, Emirates NBD challenged its staff to reduce their CO2 emissions by becoming less dependent on their cars.
RecycledPrivate Banking Welcome Pack Private Banking in collaboration with Corporate Responsibility have developed a new Welcome Pack for PB customers made from recycled plastic bottles.The plastic flakes are heated and melted to produce fibers for yarn production and used to make clothing, toys, bags etc.

Philanthropy This quarter, Emirates NBD is partnering with Beit Al Khair Society for the senior citizen
initiative Seniors Transportation Bus. Aligning with the Year of
Zayed, the project aims to assist the elderly by providing free
transportation to hospitals and clinics for ongoing treatment
and appointments.
