Dr. Jagdish AroraDirector

Dr. Jagdish Arora is the Director of Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre from August, 2007 onwards. Prior to his present

assignment, Dr. Arora has worked as the Librarian and Deputy Librarian at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi from Sept. 2003 to August

2007 and from March 1991 to June 2002 respectively. He was also the National Coordinator of the INDEST-AICTE Consortium, one of the most

successful consortia initiatives in India, since its inception in 2002. He was Librarian at IIT Bombay from June, 2002 to August, 2003 and was

Documentation Officer at the National Institute of Immunology, Delhi (1983 - 1991) and Asst. Documentation Officer, ICRISAT, Patancheru, A.P.

(1980 - 1983).

Dr. Arora is recipient of Fulbright Professional Fellowship in Library and Information Science (1997- 98), SIS Fellow (1999), Young Librarian of

the Year (2001, SATKAL), Librarian of the Year (IASLIC, 1999); ILA-Kuala Best Librarian Award (2004) and Master Motilal Sanghi Best Librarian

Award (2009). He delivered 7th Dr. S.R. Ranganathan Memorial Lecture organized by Delhi Library Association in 2009. He was awarded

"SATKAL Life Time Achievement Award" for the year 2011 by SATKAL, a Punjab-based Organization. Dr. Arora was the Principal Investigator for

several projects sponsored by agencies like AICTE, Dept. of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Information Technology (MIT), Ministry of Human

Resource Development (MHRD), the National Highway Authority of India and University Grants Commission. He is the Principal Investigator of

the Project entitled "National Library and Information Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST)" funded by the Ministry of Human Resource

Development (MHRD) under the National Mission of Education through ICT. The project provides for access to selected e-resources to more than

6,000 colleges in India.

Dr. Arora has more than 70 research articles to his credit that were published in esteemed research journals and as chapters in books and

conference proceedings. He has presented research papers in several national and international conferences and symposia in India and abroad.

His current research interest includes consortia-based subscription to e-resources, digital libraries, digitization of old and fragile documents and

their storage, database-driven Web interfaces and Web-based library services, Web-based learning and education, access management

technologies, scientometric analysis etc.

Dr. Youngsuk ChiChairman - ELSEVIER

Dr. Youngsuk 'YS' Chi is an international businessman and a leader in the media and technology industry, and currently serves Elsevier and Relx

Group in several different capacities. In his primary role as Director of Corporate Affairs and Asia Strategy for RELX Group, he is responsible for

government affairs, corporate communications, and corporate responsibility for Elsevier's parent company. As non-executive Chairman of

Elsevier, he works directly with governments, Elsevier customers and in industry associations worldwide.

Early in his career as Chief Operating Officer of Ingram Book Group, Chi co-founded Lightning Source, the first ever print-on-demand distributor

and e-book services provider. After holding several senior executive positions at Ingram Book Group's parent company, he became President and

Chief Operating Officer of Random House. Chi has earned widespread respect for his ability to work across cultures. As founding Chairman of

Random House Asia, he led efforts to make Random House the first foreign trade book publisher with local language publishing in Japan and

Korea.

Chi has served on numerous charitable, educational and industry boards, including Princeton University, the Korean American Community

Foundation and McCarter Theatre. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the boards of the Association of American Publishers and

the International Association of Scientific, Technical & Medical Publishers.

Dr. Prafulla AgnihotriDirector

IIM, Tiruchirappalli

Dr. Prafulla Agnihotri holds a Master's Degree in Management Studies (M.M.S.) and Ph.D. in International Marketing Strategy area from

Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. He has about ten years experience in the industry- in sales, marketing and training,

and over fifteen years of experience in academics. He has a post-graduate Diploma in Training and Development from Indian Society for Training

and Development (ISTD), New Delhi. He is the founder director of IIM Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. Before taking over the current post, he

was a Professor in Marketing group at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta and currently he is on a special leave from IIM Calcutta to

set up IIM Tiruchirappalli.

He has co-authored a book titled Principles of Marketing, with Philip Kotler, North-western University, USA; Gary Armstrong, University of

North Carolina, USA and Ehsan-Ul-Haq, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan which has been published by Pearson Education

(Prentice Hall).

As a professional corporate trainer, he has been conducting corporate training programmes for over fifteen years and has conducted several

programmes in sales, marketing, strategy, and customer care and CRM areas. He has so far conducted his training programmes and workshops

in India, UAE and France.

Dr. Chuin Peng SimSenior Associate University Librarian

NUS Library, Singapore

Dr Sim Chuin Peng is the Senior Associate University Librarian and the Head of the Academic Services cluster at the NUS Libraries, overseeing

the C J Koh Law Library, Hon Sui Sen Memorial Library, Medical Library and Science Library as well as the learning support and research support

programmes of the Library.

He served as a council member of the Library Association of Singapore and as a member of the National Library Advisory Committee from 2009

to 2011. He has authored two academic books and numerous peer-reviewed journal articles.

Prof. W. N. GadeVice Chancellor

University of Pune

Dr. Gade obtained his BSc in Biology from the Nagpur university and later secured his MSc (life sciences), MPhil and PhD in life sciences from the

Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He was a post-doctoral fellow in France and Sweden between 1988 and 1990.

Dr. Gade is a recipient of the Lupin Endowment Award instituted by the University Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and has served as

a scientist in the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology of CSIR in Delhi for 20 years between 1983 and 2003. He was Reader and later

Professor in the department of Biotechnology, University of Pune, from July 2003 till he became BCUD chief.

Dr. Dhilip Kumar obtained his Master and Doctoral degrees from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M). After completing Ph.D. in 2006,

he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the field of fundamental studies on H2 storage materials

and then, from 2008 to 2010 worked at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor on the modeling of atmospheric nitrate reactions.

His doctoral work was adjudged the best thesis in Physical Chemistry for the year 2006 by IIT Madras. He joined IIT Ropar as an Assistant

Professor in the Department of Chemistry in 2010. Prior to that he was Postdoctoral Fellow in Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space

Sciences and Department of Chemistry at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.

Prof. S. RaisuddinDirector of Internal Quality Assurance Cell,

Jamia Hamdard Pharmacy College

Dr. (Prof.) Raisuddin is an academician, academic administrator and active researcher with a track record of over 25 years. He did his doctoral

thesis (Ph.D.) work at the Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, IITR (a CSIR national laboratory), Lucknow. Initially, he worked as Scientist at

IITR, Lucknow and Bose Institute, Kolkata. In 1994, he joined Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), New Delhi as a faculty in the Department

of Medical Elementology & Toxicology.

He was selected as Commonwealth Fellow in 2002 and worked for about a year at the University of Plymouth, UK as Visiting Scientist in 2003.

In 2004, he visited Czech Republic under India National Science Academy (INSA) programme and spent three months as Visiting Scientist at

RECETOX (an EU Centre of Excellence), Brno. For two years (2006-08) he was at Hanyang University (among top 5 Korean Universities), Seoul,

South Korea as Professor. He has been the Head of the Department of Medical Elementology and Toxicology for three years (March 2012 – May

2015) and is currently Head of the Centre for Translational & Clinical Research. He is also the Advisor (Research) since April 2010 and facilitates

the research programmes and fellowships, national and international research collaborations, IPR issues and physical and human resource

research capacity building. He is also the Director of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Jamia Hamdard since August 2011 facilitating the

quality culture in academic, research and administrative activities of the University.

Prof. Valli KumariProfessor

Andhra University

Dr. V. Valli Kumari is a PhD (Computer Science and Systems Engineering), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. Received Best Thesis gold

medal, M.Tech (Computer Science and Technology), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. Obtained 2nd rank in Andhra University and also

B.E (Electronics and Communications Engineering), SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram affiliated to AU. Obtained 6th rank in Andhra Univ

ECE stream.

She is a professor at Department of CS&SE, Andhra University College of Engineering and Honorary Director, Andhra University Computer

Centre. Previously worked in S.R.K.R Engineering College, Bhimavaram, Affiliated to Andhra University, AP.

She has published several papers and has received many Research Awards and other academic distinctions like Best Researcher Award, Andhra

University for years 2012-2013, Received in January 2014 Sri Avula Sambasiva Rao and Jayaprada Devi prize and endowment Gold Medal for

best Research (PhD thesis in Engineering:2004-2005).

Charon Duermeijer is Senior Director Academic Customer Engagement at Elsevier. As a former academic researcher, with over 15 years of

experience in product development, publishing, and academic & governmental relations, she has ample experience in building and maintaining

networks around the globe (e.g. US, Europe, China, Japan, Brazil, Australia-NZ). These personal interactions allow her to acquire a deep-insight

into a customer experience and consequently turn opportunities or concerns into new (or improved) products or services (from conception to

product launch).

Prior to Elsevier she was a Publishing Editor with Springer Nature. Charon has done her Ph.D. from Utrecht University, Netherlands in Geology/

Geophysics (Paleomagnetism).

Ms. Kylie Chiew manages the revenue for the Research Management Portfolio for the Academic and Government market in APAC for Elsevier.

Responsible for strategy planning and identifying runway for Academic & Government market in APAC. She has vast experience of working with

the Global Strategy, Product and Marketing teams on product development and go to market activities for new product launch. Major strengths

include strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and thorough knowledge of the research landscape in the APAC region.

Prior to Elsevier Ms. Chiew has worked with Lexis Nexis as a Senior Manager where she was responsible for Managing and developing a

portfolio of government and corporate accounts in Singapore.

Mr. Lim Kok Keng is responsible for sales and marketing of Elsevier S&T information and solutions in the Asia Pacific region. The teams he leads

in this region service Elsevier's current and potential customers in both Academic and Government (A&G) segments. Leveraging on Elsevier's

leading position as a content based workflow solutions provider, Kok Keng and his team engage various contacts within A&G institutions

actively to understand their needs and help them improve access to world class quality contents, raise productivity level in research output and

make better decisions that result in higher return on investments. These contacts include senior decision and policy makers, research

management and administration officers, librarians as well as end users.

Prior to joining Elsevier, Kok Keng was the Managing Director of e-Cop Pte Ltd, a leading and awards winning cyber and information security

service provider in Asia Pacific. The company counts major government ministries/agencies and large-size organizations among Financial,

Energy and Education sectors as key partners and customers. His previous role also included heading the Marketing function in Asia Pacific for

Ingram Micro, the world's largest technology distributor. Kok Keng started his career in the financial industry with American Express Banks

developing financial products targeted at its Card Members.

Kok Keng received his Degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore in 1990.
