WESTMARC provides a range of rehabilitation technology services for the West of Scotland. This area includes six Health Boards and stretches from Oban in the north to Dumfries in the south as well as from Falkirk in the east to the islands of the Inner Hebrides in the west. It serves over 52% of the Scottish population (about 2.6 million people) and as such has the biggest caseload of the five Scottish rehabilitation technology centres. Mental Health services in Renfrewshire are provided by integrated health and social work multidisciplinary CMHTs, supported by an intensive home treatment team and a primary care mental health team. The post is based at Dykebar Hospital and the Paisley Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), and comprises of 10 PA's allocated between Paisley CMHT and the Dykebar Acute Assessment Unit (AAU). On call responsibilities will be shared with other consultant colleagues on an approximately 1:18 rota. Responsibilities will be shared between a total of 10 general adult psychiatrists in Renfrewshire, and the successful applicant would be expected to work closely with colleagues to provide a full range of services to inpatients and outpatients. This post is based in Rutherglen/Cambuslang locality and provides a service for adults in the secondary care mental health service. The post is 0.5 whole time equivalent (wte) at Eastvale Community Mental Health Trust (CMHT) and 0.5 wte Intermediate Psychology. You will provide highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention for adults with complex mental health problems and will take a lead role in the development of psychological therapies across the Community Health Partnership (CHP) secondary care service. The post provides good opportunities for development and innovation, and challenging clinical work. The CMHT is a well-integrated and supportive team with effective multi-disciplinary working. The Intermediate Psychology service provides input to adults with complex mental health problems where psychology provides the main intervention. You will enjoy excellent professional support as a member of the large South Psychology service. You should have post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology, or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 and post-doctoral training in additional specialised areas of psychological practice of an extensive and substantial nature, including experience of working with adults with complex mental health problems and current registration with the Health Professions Council.
