Two more records for McBee High this year are the following:

• Courtney Elmore is now the only student from MHS who has ever achieved the Microsoft Office Word 2013 EXPERT LEVEL of certification! This means she is considered a MOS 2013 Master (1 Expert level in Word or Excel + 3 additional certifications)

• Kaleigh Thompson & Jacob Brooks scored a perfect 1000 on the Word 2013 exam. When there

are several perfect scores, Certiport, the company who administers the exams, uses the time it took each candidate to complete the exam as a tie-breaker. Kaleigh’s time and perfect score qualified her for 2nd place in the State Championship Fall Qualifying season.

Each of these exams are nationally recognized certification that demonstrates their level of proficiency in each Microsoft Office application. Having this credential could exempt these students from a computer applications course in college as well as make them extremely marketable in the workforce.
