EosEos Array and Eos Array Lite

Eos-Array Lite is the answer to thosephotovoltaic applications where a lesssophisticated control is needed. Thissolution is based on the same overallconcept of Eos-Array such asmodularity, integrated string fuseprotection but being focused tomeasure and control only the stringcurrent and voltage. As undoubtedresult this string control provides animmediate string failure detection andlocalisation of the wrong PV panelconnection, a faster plantcommissioning and future

maintenance. Eos-Array Lite isspecifically developed to beintegrated in either a small or mediumsize photovoltaic park where all themost significant data are transmittedvia RS485 Modbus at a maximumspeed of 115.2 kbit/s to the local PVEnergy Management System. Anessential working tool is representedby Eos-ArrayLSoft a freeware softwarewhich allows the user to easilyconfigure Eos-Array Lite, check thecommunication wiring and remotelyread the available measurement data.

EOS-Array Lite can be formed by:1 VMU-ML, up to 15 VMU-S0, up to 2VMU-O, up to 1 VMU-P but notexceeding 16 units in tota.

If an isolation to earth up to 1000VDC(instead of standard 800VDC) isrequested, one VMU-1 can be addedbetween the VMU-S/VMU-S0 groupof units and all the other units, in thislatter case the total number of unitscannot exceed 17.

Increase the security of your PV plant adding the specific Eos-Array antitheftsolution

Eos-Array, in addition to all its remarkable features can alsobe provided with an antitheft system which allows you toprotect the whole PV installation, particularly when it is aground mounted type. This security system is based on acost effective plastic fibre optic technology which is easy toinstall and doesn’t need expensive and specific fibre opticmounting skills. The optical sensing part is represented byVMU-AT which provides a theft alarm as soon as the plasticfibre, in its sensing loop, is broken because of PV panelremoval attempt.

VMU-O.AT and VMU-AT overall features:• Every Eos-Array (string-box) can manage up to 3 VMU-

AT modules in combination with VMU-O “AT” with onerelay output.

• The maximum allowed length of the fibre optic is200m/VMU-AT.
