Procedure for entering the classroom

• Quietly line up against the wall until the teacher has given permission to enter the room.

Rules1. Raise your hands before speaking

2. Be prepared for class

3. Be in your seat before the Tardy Bell

4. No food, gum or drinks (except water) in class

5. Be kind and respectful at all times

Consequences

• After class detention

• Call home

• After school detention

• Sent to the office

Procedure

1. If you have late work, turn it into late work box

2. If you were absent, pick up HW from “Past Assignment box”

3. Before the tardy bell, sit down and copy the Agenda.

Write both first name and last name on your assignments

• If don’t write both first name and last name you will loose a point

Restroom Policy

• Do not interrupt Mr. Kim during middle of a lesson

• Need to write your name, date, period and time in the Restroom log book.

• Need to stay 1 or 2 minutes after class to pick up some trash or straighten up books

• If you are going to the restroom too frequently, we will need to get your parent’s permission before going to the restroom.

Waterbreak Policy

• Do not interrupt Mr. Kim during middle of a lesson.

• Once given permission you may leave to get water at the 2nd floor water fountain

• If you are back within 2 minutes there will be no consequences.

Other Procedures

• Paper Towel

• Trash Can

Extra Credit Lotto Tickets

• Extra Credit Lotto Tickets will be awards to students on task

• At the end of class every day, there will be a drawing for extra credit lotto tickets

• 2 extra points if the questions was answered correctly

• 1 extra point if the question was not answer correctly

Mr. Kim’s Background• Got a Computer Science degree from U.C. Irvine• Got a Teaching Credential and Master Degree in

Education from CSU Dominguez Hills• 10th year teaching Science at Culver City Middle

School• Before being a teacher, I was a computer

programmer • I have a 9 year old son and a 11 year old

daughter

A = 92 – 100% A- = 90 – 91%

B+ = 88 – 89% B = 82 – 87% B- = 80 – 81%

C+ = 78 – 79% C = 72 – 77% C- = 70 – 71%

D+ = 68 – 69% D = 62 – 67% D- = 60 – 61%

F = 0 = 59%
