The Gazelle S5028i/S6028i is a full-gigabit L2/L3 rack-mounted manageable industrial switchdesigned to satisfy broadband backbone transportation and aggregation requirements underrigorous industrial and business conditions. The products employs full modular design and supportsflexible electrical and SFP optical interface combinations of up to 4 x GE uplinks and 24 x GEdownlinks. S5028i/S6028i allows maximum flexibility in configuring daisy-chain, ring, intersect ringand tangent ring topologies, and ensures sub-50ms switchover time. Enhanced security is providedby supporting IEEE802.1x, RADIUS and other authentication methods. The Gazelle S5028i/S6028ican sustain high performance in extreme environments and operates normally over a widetemperature range from -40 to 85C.
