Our Story A F A M I LY B U S I N E S S F O R O V E R 3 3 Y E A R S

The Riverwood Cabins story starts in 1983, in Himrod, NY when my parents, Sanford & Barb Lapp, followed their dreams and founded Woodtex to support their young family. With hard work, dedication, and a relentless commitment to serve customers, Woodtex soon became a thriving business, building storage sheds, barns, and garages.

After a hard-fought battle with cancer, my Dad passed away in the fall of 1994. The day after the funeral, Mom went back to work. She didn’t have much business experience, but she was fiercely determined to keep Woodtex going to honor Dad’s legacy and provide for our family. She kept the business growing for years and eventually handed over the reigns to my brother Ben and me when she retired.

With the dawn of a new century came new customer requests. Our customers wanted Woodtex to build cabins. In 2006, we built and delivered the first cabin and before long cabins became a major part of our business.

I’m thrilled to bring Riverwood Cabins, a Woodtex company, to the world. At Riverwood, we’re focused solely on building a collection of remarkable cabins where friends and families can pursue their passions and make memories together. We truly look forward to working with you!

Our HeritageIn business since 1983 and still family owned, we’ve been privileged to serve thousands of customers. Our founder Sanford Lapp left a legacy of hard work, attention to detail, and love for God and family that is still the driving force of our company today. Holding true to these principles has made us a trusted leader

in our industry.

We Focus on a RemarkableCustomer ExperienceAt Riverwood Cabins, we believe in setting the bar high and following through on our word. We strive to be inspiring, adventurous, and rejuvenating, and we truly value the relationships that develop through building cabins where our customers can Make Memories.™

These are not hollow words or empty promises. For 33 years, we’ve been committed to exceeding the expectations of our customers at every turn. We believe in taking the extra step not only to make sure you’re satisfied, but to make sure you’re pleasantly surprised.

We’ve Removed the Obstacles to Owning Your Own Cabin Building a cabin shouldn’t be complicated and difficult. We have made the process as quick and painless as possible. First, you’re always dealing directly with the manufacturer, so there are no outside contractors or middlemen to get in the way and drive up costs. Second, our modular cabins are built in the controlled environment of our factories, then delivered and set up on your property in just a few days. Third, our cabins are pre-certified, meeting or exceeding the codes for each state. Lastly, we’ve built relationships with solid financial institutions who are happy to help our customers own the cabin of their dreams.
