Situation
Newlands is a popular residential street set between Three Springs Road and Pershore Abbey and
it’s parkland. Number 88 is a Victorian styled terraced property which has been modernised and
extended to the rear and now provides cottage style accommodation with separate dining room,
modern bathroom and a double bedroom to the rear of the property. Further internal stairway leads
up to useful attic store area.
The market town of Pershore is Georgian styled and provides high street shopping facilities and
supermarket together with an indoor market and a leisure complex. The river Avon runs to the
east of the town lending itself for scenic walks and leisure pursuits. There is a medical centre and
a new hospital and town library, together with excellent educational facilities within the area.
Pershore now has its own theatre, which opened in December 2004. The neighbouring village of
Great Comberton has an eighteen hole golfing facility with major golf clubs at Fladbury and
Bishampton.
Off Station Road there is the railway link to London Paddington or Worcester Shrub Hill travelling
on to Birmingham. The motorway is approximately nine miles distant at Worcester junction 7
bringing Birmingham to the north and Bristol to the south within commutable distance. Other
main centres are Stratford-upon-Avon with the theatre and racecourse, Cheltenham with National
Hunt horse racing and the Everyman Theatre and major main shopping, Worcester with the
famous Cathedral and equally famous cricket club together with the river Severn and good
shopping centre.
