The 8th IconSWM 2018 will deliberate on various issues related to innovation and implementation in sustainable waste management including policies & strategies, segregation, collection, transportation, biological and thermal and mechanical treatment technologies, life cycle analysis, climate change, circular economy, research and business opportunities etc. 8th IconSWM will be attended by nearly 900 delegates from nearly 35 countries. IconSWM is the biggest and popular conference platform of ISWMAW established in 2009 in India working for the betterment of WM and environment protection by promoting 3R and circular economy concepts having involvement and participation of more than 40 countries around the world and most of the states in India. Problem of waste management primarily lies in poor segregation of waste and governance. IconSWM – ISWMAW involves in spreading awareness, carrying out research and implementation activities in the areas related to Waste Management worldwide to promote environmentally sound waste management practices, effluent treatment, Air and Water pollution control practices and general environment protection awareness in different parts of the country and abroad. IconSWM – ISWMAW research and other activities involves International Collaborative Research Project 2018-2020, “Global status of Circular Economy Implementation” with 25 country experts including UNCRD; Research Projects at different institutes, namely at IISc, Bangalore, Jadavpur University, and in other organisations in West Bengal and Karnataka. 7th IconSWM 2017, Dec 18-21, 2017 was the declared official side event of the high level Intergovernmental 8th Regional 3R Forum in Asia and the Pacific, to be held during April 09-12, 2018 at Indore, India by MoH&U, Govt of India; Ministry of Environment, Japan (MoEJ) and UNCRD. The 8th IconSWM 2018 will deliberate on various issues related to innovation and implementation insustainable waste management including policies & strategies, segregation, collection, transportation, biological and thermal and mechanicaltreatment technologies, life cycle analysis, climate change, circular economy, research and business opportunities etc. 8th IconSWM will beattended by nearly 900 delegates from nearly 35 countries.
