This means, the people were too shocked to even cry at the disaster. London describes the city as doomed. This meant the city has no chance to become better. London tugs on your emotions by telling accounts from other people included in the catastrophe. Londons version of the story kept me quiet intent and I am happy with the work he did. The perspective he could have used to get the readers attention also could have beenone of an actual person going through the incident. London could have told of a person going from rich to dirt poor in the span of almost a week. By using this perspective it would have made the readers become upset and try to understand what the people were actually going through. This would also make the readers become more interested in what happens next. The readers will want to know if they struggle to become rich again or start over, and be poor.The Story of An Eyewitness, is an amazing article about a disaster that happened in San Francisco. Jack London told of people losing their riches and their emotional stories, as well as true facts that happened during the event. London could have appealed to the readers interest more by adding a different perspective but the way he told the story was dramatic and descriptive as well.
