This Conference will provide the platform for both men and women in maritime to contribute to chart the course for women in maritime agenda in Asia through the fulfilment of UN Sustainable Development Goals on Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women, as well as to provide women with the opportunity to share their perspectives on current issues impacting the maritime industry. Broad issues of gender disparity within the maritime community will be discussed. Hence the solutions and measures that can be taken to bridge the gender gap, particularly in employment opportunity, access to education and in leadership positions will be deliberated.
