    Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt, of India. 2. (a) Admission Qualifi-cation: Candidates who have passed National Trade Certificate or National Apprenticeship Cer-

    tificate or Degree or Diploma in relevant branch of Engineering in the concerned trade are eligible

    to apply. Candidates must produce the original certificate at the time of admission. Additionally

    a pass in TT-1 module is necessary for admission to TT-2 module. The candidates

    who have passed NTC/ NAC in 2009, or before, will have to submit the original NTC/

    NAC certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training, Ministry of

    Labour & Employment. Submission of Mark Sheet alone will not be considered for

    Admission.

    (b). Age Limit: Minimum 14 Years. There is no upper age limit.

    3. Preference of admission to trainees are given in the following order :-

    (a) Candidates sponsored by the Directorate of States/Union Territories Incharge of Craftsmen

    Training will be given first preference.

    (b) Second preference will be given to the candidates sponsored by the affiliated Private ITIs,

    (for the instructors of the affiliated trades only), GOI Depts., Industrial Organizations. In case of

    candidates sponsored by Private ITIs, their application should be submitted along

    with pay slips and attendance record for the last 6 months, and routed through

    respective DETs/ (or) copy of affiliation certificate issued by DGE&T for respective

    trades. (C) Third preference will be given to the candidates who have completed three/two/one

    modules in that order. In case, it becomes necessary to prepare merit list for such candidateswho have completed same number of modules then the admission will be offered on the basis of

Thread reels: Manufacturing of thread reels involves the following steps :- (a) Raw Materialpurchasing : Raw material yarn or thread is available in the market. They are available in the formof bundles of various colours.b) Unwinding of bundles. The hanks of bundles are opened. Thenthe unwinding of each hank of bundle is done using a hand winder. A bobbin is also inserted in thepin of wheel provided for the propose. When the hand winder revolves the handle, the thread iswound over the wooden bobbins and required to feed one reel making machine. (c) Reelwinding: The reel making machine is mounted on a wooden table and is connected with a boltwhich runs with an electric motor. Now, three bobbins are kept on a wooden stand under thetable just below the winding mechanism. After setting the machine in this manner, three cardboard tubes are inserted in the spindle of the machine and one yarn is taken out from each bobbin,loosely wound on the three cones. The motor is started. The thread is automatically wound up onthe tubes. When the reels are obtained of pre-determined thickness, the machine stops automati-cally. When the reels are ready, these are taken out from spindles and the same method isrepeated for further production. The reels are then labelled and packed in card board boxes formarketing. 2. Thread Balls: (a) Thread preparation The bundles of thread is unwounded asdescribed for thread reels. 6(b) Thread ball making. The cone is then inserted in the thread ballmaking machine. The end of the thread is taken from the cone and passed it through a size guide.The handle of the machine is rotated with one hand and the cylinder clutch is moved to right andleft. After 7 to 8 revolutions the handle will be ready. The ball is then taken out and the samemethod is repeated for further production. The thread balls are then packed in cardboard boxesand marketed.
