9 Steps to address behaviors in the classrooms:

When addressing Level One and Level Two infractions please follow the listed step:

1. Verbal Warning: Quickly and respectfully 2. Timeout: Student is separate from other students (within the classroom) and

provided with time to decompress and reflect up on actions.

3. Teacher/Student Conference: When meeting with students be sure to document meeting, discussion and next steps.

4. Contact home: Phone and written communication is acceptable, be sure to document this communication.

5. Detention (After School, Friday, or Saturday): Before a detention may be served students must sign notification sent home to inform parents of detention.

6. Parental Conference:

7. In school suspension: Can only be assigned after a parent conference has been held.

8. Conference with the principal(student and parent)

9. Out of School Suspension

THESE STEPS SHOULD BE POSTED IN ALL CLASSROOMS AND TAUGHT TO STUDENTS.

Children are NOT to be sent to the office for a disciple infraction, in the event of an emergency or fight notify the office immediately and assistance will be provided.

Remember CONSISTENCY is the key.
