DAY THREE FRIDAY, JULY 5, 2019TEL AVIV: THE FIRST HEBREW CITY �Breakfast at the hotel.�Old City of Jaffa: Stroll through the renovated artists' colony and

the old port and ascend from the old port through the renovated alleyways to the Jaffa Overlook for an introduction to Tel Aviv at the place where it all began.

�Stroll down Rothschild Boulevard to view examples of the intriguing Bauhaus-style architecture from the 1930s. The local proliferation of the style won Tel Aviv recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site and the nickname of ‘the White City'.

�Against The Odds - Building a State: Visit Independence Hall, where David Ben-Gurion proclaimed the State of Israel on May 14th, 1948.

�LaDa'at EthnicTasting Tour: walk through Tel Aviv's famous Levinsky Market, where you'll find a combination of foods and sweets from all over the Mediterranean and hear the unique stories of the individuals who sell them; lunch on own if still hungry!

�Wander along the Nachalat Binyamin pedestrian mall, with its bi-weekly crafts fair and eateries. Alongside is the colorful Carmel open-air market and across the way Sheinkin Street, with its hip cafés and funky chic shopping.

DAY FIVE SUNDAY, JULY 7, 2019HISTORY AND NATURE ALONG THE COAST �Breakfast at the hotel.�Check out of the hotel, depart Tel Aviv and drive north along the

coastal plain, stopping at Caesarea, one of the Land of Israel's most important cities in the Roman Period. Visit the Herodian Theater and excavations along the Mediterranean shore, concluding with the interactive audio-visual program, The Stars of Caesarea, located in the ruined 900-year-old Crusader town.

�Visit a Druze village in the Carmel Mountains for a window into the unique world of the Israeli Druze community, with home-hospitality lunch.

�Visit Akko (Acre), a UNESCO Heritage Site, for a multi-layered experience from the days of the Crusades through contemporary Israel, including guided visits to:�The restored Crusaders' Fortress.�The al-Jazzar Mosque, one of the largest and most interesting

in Israel.�The Ottoman Fortifications around the city.�The Templar Tunnel to the port of Akko.

�Drive to Rosh Hanikra, at the northern tip of Israel's Mediterranean coastline. Take a cable-car down to the beautiful sea grottoes, carved out of soft chalk cliffs by eons of wave action.

�Continue to the Upper Galilee and check into the hotel.�Dinner at hotel.

tributary of the Jordan River, and explore the ruins of the great Biblical city of Dan.

�Take a Jeep tour off-road up the Golan Heights in the footsteps of Israeli soldiers and their battles in the Six-Day War. Enjoy the beautiful natural scenery and gain an insight into the strategic complexity of the Golan.

�Lunch on own en route.�The panoramic views from Bental (overlooking the abandoned

Syrian town of Kuneitra) give sharp insights into Israel's security situation on the Golan Heights, and the enormous challenges it faced in the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

Adults�Visit the Pelter Winery, a young family boutique winery located on

the Golan Heights, including wine tasting.

Kids�Enjoy the culinary delight of a chocolate workshop at the De

Karina Chocolate Factory on Kibbutz Ein Zivan.�Enjoy rafting or kayaking down the Jordan River.�Return to the hotel.�Dinner at the hotel.

DAY SEVEN TUESDAY, JULY 9, 2019TRADITION & SPIRITUALITY �Breakfast at the hotel.�Check out of the hotel.�Explore Tsfat, a center of Jewish mysticism for hundreds of years

and a contemporary artists' colony, including:�Guided visit to the Ari, Caro or Abuhav Synagogues, each with

its great stories and mystical messages.�A stroll through the quaint Artists' Colony, shop in the galleries

and crafts shops and engage in dialogues with local artisans inspired by the messages of Kabbalah.

�A visit with a traditional Jewish scribe (“sofer stam”).�Lunch on own en route.�Drive south via Tiberias, an ancient/modern city located on the

shores of Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee). One of Israel's four holy Jewish cities, this is where the “Jerusalem” Talmud was codified and where Maimonides is buried.

�Visit Bio-Bee Biological Systems on Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu, leading experts in the mass production of beneficial insects and mites for agricultural purposes. There is regional cooperation in this field with Palestinians and Jordanians.

�Walking tour through the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, for visits to archaeological treasures and other highlights, among them:�The Cardo, the main street of Jerusalem in the 6th century.�King Hezekiah's First Temple-period “Broad Wall”.

Option 1�Explore the Western Wall Tunnel, the underground continuation

Founded in Jerusalem in 2002, Kids4Peace is a global movement of Jewish, Christian and Muslim youth, dedicated to ending the conflict and inspiring hope in divided societies around the world. Tour the Jerusalem campus and gain insight into their successes and the challenges they face.

�Free time in the Mamilla pedestrian arcade, a very contemporary shopping area with a whiff of the past, located outside the Jaffa Gate of the Old City, dinner on own.

�The Night Spectacular at the Tower of David Museum: The walls of the Citadel serve as a stage for a night-time show - a celebration of sight and sound - that depicts the story of Jerusalem.

DAY NINE THURSDAY, JULY 11, 2019MEMORY & RENEWAL �Breakfast at the hotel.�Depart the hotel and drive to the Ella Valley to take part in an

archaeological dig at the Beit Guvrin Caves; prepare to get your hands dirty uncovering pottery from the Hellenistic period, 2,300 years ago, followed by a crawl through the Maresha Cave Labyrinth (crawling is optional). Beit Guvrin-Maresha National Park was recently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

�Return to Jerusalem.�Experience the sights, smells, and tastes of Jerusalem while

walking through the Machaneh Yehuda open air market, with lunch on own.

�Tree planting at the Jerusalem Bird Observatory, and an insight into the urban wildlife of Jerusalem.

the site of the Jewish Zealots' last stand against the Roman Legionnaires; discuss Masada's role as a symbol of Jewish defense and its current significance in modern Israel.

�Lunch on own.�Experience an astonishing sense of weightlessness as you float in

the super-saline Dead Sea.�Join Jerusalemites in a musical Kabbalat Shabbat at the Old

Train Station Plaza, a central neighborhood hub for food, entertainment, culture, and enrichment.
