DOPET JOINS QATAR IN THE CELEBRATION OF

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

It was indeed a day of celebration, fun, and socialization not only within DOPET organization but also with

other individuals and entities present during the National Sports Day Celebration of Qatar held on various

locations in the country.

The celebration was attended by most of DOPET’s employees and Department Managers along with the

General Manager at Corniche on 12th of February 2019.

The company’s HSE department organized physical exercises and games for everyone to participate and

The first ever dry gas seal repair and testing facility in

Qatar was inaugurated on 24th April 2019 at DOPET’s

yard located inside the Ras Laffan Industrial City

(RLIC).

The event was graced by QP Industrial Cities Direc-

torate Vice-President, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Muftah, John

Crane’s CEO and Division President, Mr. Jean Vernet

and Al-Ahed’s very own Co-founder, Mr. Jaber Al-

Sulaiti and Mr. Jassim Al Mansouri along with other

dignitaries.

Al-Ahed and John Crane joined forces to ensure the

availability of localized products and services such as

mechanical seals, dry gas seals and coupling repairs to

all of Qatar’s energy sectors as well as to provide sup-

port to local oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer and

power generation industries.

As part of its social commitment, DOPET joined and celebrated “WORLD HEALTH & SAFETY DAY” on

27th April 2019 in our new workshop at Abunakhla Industrial Area under the directive of Ministry of

Administration and Labor, International Labor Organization (ILO). The objective of the event is to cre-

ate awareness to the employees on the importance of one’s health and safety.

The event was presided by DOPET’s General Manager with the participation of Operations Manager,

Manager-Projects and other Department Managers. Representatives from ILO and the ministry also

participated in the event. The event was facilitated by the HSE Manager. Representatives from Abeer

Medical Centre presented the Occupational Health & Hygiene Awareness program and representative

from Enertech Training Centre presented the Work at Height Awareness program.

During this celebration, safety awards and incentives for the first quarter 2019 were bestowed. The

event was concluded with vote of thanks from HSE Coordinator.

DOPET SIGNED AGREEMENT WITH SAP

FOR ERP TOTAL SOLUTION

DOPET has signed an agreement with SAP, the world's top ERP Solution provid-er for the ERP system requirement to enable DOPET to move ahead with the latest digital transformation. Software giants Microsoft and SAP are working together for an innovative way of digital transformation approach which helps customers to achieve their expectation in a much better way. The mode of op-eration is hosting SAP ERP System on Azure, the cutting edge cloud platform of Microsoft.

M/s. Highbar, the implementation partner and M/s. iHorizon, the program management partner are also involved in this ambitious project. DOPET's aim is to design, develop, implement, test and go live the system by 1st Jan 2020.

FOR FAHAHIL STRIPPING

PLANT IN DUKHAN

With the continuous effort of DOPET to provide the best services to its Clients, an-

other Milestone has been added to the Company’s innumerable achievements. On

24 April 2019, DOPET completed the Maintenance of the Fahahil Stripping Plant

Shutdown Project under Qatar Petroleum located in Dukhan.

The Shutdown was concluded with a breakfast organized by QP-FSP Senior-

Management and Participated by all concerned entities. DOPET was represented

by Mr. Santaiah-Projects Manager and Mr. AD-Malik Shutdown Projects Manager.

DOPET won 2nd best amongst all other companies/

sub-contractors working with Occidental Petrole-

um (OXY) on its 2018 HES Scorecards Awarding

Ceremony held on 06th of March 2019 at Crown

Plaza, Doha, Qatar. With the main objective of

achieving Zero harm to people, assets and the en-

vironment. The event was also aimed to assess the

best safety performances of all Contrac-

tors and to encourage a healthy competition,

among the companies themselves. Lastly, to build

and improve the safety culture and practices at all

projects.

The event was attended by our very own General

Manager, Mr. Mohammed Al Sa’ee, Mr. Syed Ibra-

him—HSE Manager and Mr. Dominic McClean—

Manager Manpower Projects.

NEW AGENCY JOINS DOPET

GE Energy Industrial Solutions whose expertise is

service, maintenance, replacement and repair of

electrical equipment, Pentair Valves and Controls

which designs, manufactures and provides services

for valves, fittings, automation, controls and actua-

tors for the industrial and energy verticals, Flare

Industries which manufactures flare systems, clamp

–on Ultrasonic flowmeters and thermal mass flow-

meters have joined DOPET’s group of agencies. De-

spite the blockade not only experienced here in

Qatar but almost all parts of the world, not men-

tioning all the challenges that DOPET went through

because of the crisis, it has stood firm and now even

expanding its horizon to new endeavors.

GE Energy, Pentair V&C, Flare Industries, Sierra In-

struments and DOPET are working together to com-

bat the current situation of the industry and contin-

ue pursuing their mission of achieving sustainable

operational excellence and growth while delivering

goods/services to customers.

API MONOGRAM LICENCES

DOPET received its renewed American Petroleum Institute

(API) Monogram licenses for 5CT, 6A, 7-1 & 16A after suc-

cessful completion of recertification audit by API Auditor.

API Monogram is a voluntary licensing program that facili-

tates the consistent manufacturing of product which con-

forms to applicable API Specifications, an industry leading

quality management standard.

The achievement of API Monogram licenses is a manifesta-

tion of DOPET’s commitment to improving safety, superior

quality and consistent processes. Earning these certifica-

tions further strengthens the company’s position in the mar-

ket where upcoming customer orders are expected to re-

quire API Certification.

DOPET IN THE MIDST OF MIDDLE EAST REGION CRISIS

Sometime June of 2017 when the Mid-

dle East Blockade begun. An occurrence

that not a single individual in the re-

gion has ever thought of experiencing.

Because of this blockade, scarcity of

supplies begun to manifest in the entire

ME region specifically in the sectors of

food, construction as well as health

which has greatly impacted the achieve-

ment of each entity’s respective

goal and vision.

And DOPET is no exemption to this

problem. Despite the severity of

the issue, the company remained

strong and positive believing that

all of these hardships will pass by.

The company owes it to the unfath-

omable determination of its em-

ployees through the guidance of

the Board of Directors. It is thru

their initiatives that DOPET was

able to withstand all the problems

brought about by the blockade and

is positively moving forward with

the highest hopes and visions.

MIGRATION COURSEMIGRATION COURSE

As part of DOPET’s OH&S Management System migration

from OHSAS 18001:2007 to ISO45001:2018, the company

has conducted an update Workshop by an external train-

er from LRQA for ISO 450001: 2018 Standard for General

Manager, all Department Managers, Heads and Coordina-

tors on 05th February 2019 at the Conference Room.

This workshop aimed to enable the participants to learn

about and identify the major and key differences be-

tween OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 so as to begin plan-

ning on how to adapt these principles in their manage-

ment system.

ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor Migration Course was also

conducted by an external trainer from LRQA from 06th-

07th February, 2019 at DOPET Training Room. This course

aimed to enable OHSAS 18001: 2007 Lead Auditor to

adapt auditing techniques to accommodate the new

amended requirements to ISO 45001:2018 and certify

them self as ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor. A total of 8

people were certified as ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor

after the course, which include Manager-Projects, HSE-

Manager, QA/QC Manager, HSE Advisor and HSE Officers

and QA/QC Engineer.

In recognition of DOPET’s effort for excellent HSE perfor-

mance throughout the duration of the project-EPIC for crea-

tion of Additional Slots in Gas Lift Manifolds for tie-in of new

wells in Dukhan, Qatar Petroleum (QP) has awarded the com-

pany with an Appreciation Certificate for the project on 28th

March 2019 at the PND Dukhan Onshore Project Building.

The awarding ceremony was attended by Mr. Tony Abernethy

-Operations Manager, Mr. Murugadass Delli-Senior Project

Manager and Mr. Syed Ibrahim-HSE Manager on behalf of the

company.

DOPET’s execution of the project has been chosen as the best

of many other projects being executed by various contractors

in Dukhan. The team has achieved close to one million safe

construction man hours without any incident during these

three years of project execution.

DOPET has always been dedicated to its advocacy of pre-

serving the environment for all mankind.

This time, the company has taken another step higher of

optimizing its campaign to providing its employees a better

and safer community to work in by issuing guidelines for

each and every individual to adhere to.

DOPET joined its Muslim brothers and sisters in the ob-

servance of Holy Month of RAMADAN 2019, the most sa-

cred time of the year in Islamic Culture. This holy month

started on 06th May and ended on 03rd June.

During the month long period of RAMADAN, people be-

longing to the Muslim community practiced fasting, ab-

staining from worldly pleasures and praying to reach clos-

er to God. It was also a chance for all families to gather

and celebrate.

DOPET AWARDED FOR OUTSTANDING SAFETY EXECUTED SHUTDOWN

QATARGAS awarded DOPET with a plaque of appreciation for its outstanding

dedication, collaboration and commitment to delivering the project PROVISION

OF RIGGING SERVICES at QATAR GAS NORTH in its safest way possible which is

set for completion on 28 February 2021.

Mr. Vivek Rao, DOPET Engineer-in-Charge for this project received the award on

behalf of the company last 29 April 2019.
