DEHNbloc® MaxiCoordinated Lightning Current Arrester
The coordinated lightning current arresters of the DEHNbloc Maxi familyadjust themselves to every kind of application. Whether being used in anexposed position or in rough industrial applications: DEHNbloc Maxialways offers the right solution. The single-pole devices are originallycoordinated with the approved DEHNguard surge arresters of theRed/Line family. Independent from cable lengths and without requiringadditional decoupling coils, the surge protection concept can be adaptedindividually to all conditions at the installation.
DEHNbloc Maxi devices provide the patented technologies of an encap-sulated creepage discharge spark gap and RADAX-Flow follow currentlimitation. Special safety distances from busbars or equipment belong tothe past as well as tripped backup fuses due to lacking selectivity bet-ween the protective device and overcurrent protection. This ensures thehighest possible system availability.
For indicating the presence of phase voltages and readiness for operationon site, DEHNbloc Maxi Type DBM 1 255 L provides an integrated opera-ting voltage indication. Optionally, DEHNbloc Maxi devices can also be
used for signalling the readiness for opera-tion of the equipment as well as the pre-sence of operating voltage to a superiorcontrol system via remote signalling con-tact.
Using the double terminalsof DEHNbloc Maxi devices,which are suitable for alltypes of conductors, allowsto realise a serial connecti-on up to nominal currentsof 125 A in a space- andcost-saving way, as prefer-red by standard IEC 60364-5-53. The multifunctionalterminal is suitable forsimultaneous connection ofconductors and a busbars.This allows an easy wiringto other DIN rail mounteddevices.
