    Compression Toolfor TRS Series 6/59 and DRS Series 7/11 Connectors

    To Compress RG6 and RG59 Connectors

    . Press cable and insert fully into connector. Open tool handle. (Fig. 1)

    . Tilt connector so that center conductor fits into hole incompression tip. (Fig. 2) Once connector is seated oncompression tip, press down on top of spring loaded fingers withcable causing fingers to separate. Pass cable through both setsof fingers, so that fingers are fully closed around cable.

    . Slowly close tool (Fig. 3) making sure that connector seatsinside counter-bored surface on finger face (Fig. 4). Check tomake sure fingers are closed around connector before continuing.

    4. Slowly close tool until stops touch at end of handles. (FOnce cycle is completed, open tool. (Fig. 1)

    With tool open, position compressed connector betwfingers and end of compression tip. (Fig. 6) Lift cable remove compressed connector from tool. Take care nbend the center conductor during the removal process. Ccenter conductor for any distortion prior to use. If you haproblem removing cable, you may use the manual frelease on the bottom of the tool. (Fig. 6)

    To Compress RG7 and RG11 Connectors

    1. Follow the same procedures shown above, with the exceof compression finger location. To compress the conneuse the RG7/11 finger location. (Fig. 7)

    Reminder: Position compressed connector between finand end of tip before removing connector from the tool

    A 3-In-1 oil should be applied at regular intervals to all

    exposed pins, pivot points, and moving parts.
