TRANSCRIPT
It is hard to believe that our
school year is almost over!
Our students have worked so
hard this year and I am so
proud of all the amazing
growth they have made!
While we welcome a break
from the routines of the
school year, it is also so
important to keep our kids brains sharp over the summer
– and this can be easy and fun!
Here are a few suggestions:
Pick any book they are
interested in and read it
with them each day
Keep a writing journal (including pictures!) of all
the fun summer activities
Use regular events as
math problems, such as
grocery shopping or
driving mileage
Encourage simple science
and art projects
Cook together and
practice measurement
Visit our library on
Wednesday’s between 10
and 12 over the summer
beginning July 5th
If you are vacationing,
explore historical or
cultural facts before you
go
Most importantly, make
time to spend with your
student, electronic and
distraction free. It doesn’t matter the activi-
ty, they love just being
with you!
Whatever your summer brings,
I sincerely hope it is joyful and
sunny! We can’t wait to see
you back in the Fall!
