The Motorsport Industry Association is proud to introduce our 9th AnnualUSA Business Development Trip. This visit provides ten full days includingtwo of the most prestigious American races, the NASCAR Sprint CupAll-Star Race and the 93rd running of the legendary Indy 500.
Delegate companies enjoy unrivalled access to the MIA’s substantialnetwork of USA contacts, many of whom will also attend our prestigiousBusiness Receptions held at both Charlotte and Indianapolis. It has createdsuccessful business conferences at the Grand Prix of Brazil, China andthe USA and operates successful liaison offices in both Detroit (JeremyBurne) and Atlanta (Michael Bailey).
Through its International Motorsport Education Forum, the MIA promotesthe use of motorsport to attract students into engineering studies tobenefit the wider engineering community. This ensures there is agrowing supply of well-qualified staff to strengthen the motorsportindustry.
This visit is supported by the Advanced Engineering - Automotive Sectorteam of UK Trade & Investment, the organization which supports UKcompanies trading internationally and those overseas enterprises whoseek to locate in the UK. Its role is to help companies realise theirinternational business potential through knowledge transfer andon-going partnership support. Its position within Government, in-depthknowledge of UK regional business and a global network make it aunique strategic resource, with services tailor-made to yourindividual needs.
Cleland Motorsport is involved in building, preparing and running both Rallycars and Race cars in UK Championships.
Managing Director John Cleland competed in the British Touring CarChampionship from 1989 until 2000 winning the outright title in 1989 and1995. Niki and Jamie Cleland are accompanying John on this visit. Both areexcellent competitive drivers in their own right and put this knowledge to gooduse in car set up and prepararation.
