irst open the /ac3 case of your t# ta3ing care to the wire connecting the /oard to the

    modu!e.

    =ust unp!ag it from the /oard.

    Attention:

    A!! the ne#t mentioned modifications can /e 4umped off2 if you intend to ma3e on!y

the firmware upgrade connections2 without the te!emetry use. 5n that case the on!y

needed act is that in photo.

5 suggest you that /efore starting get thin3 of the difficu!ty in so!dering connections to

the chipDs pins.EEEE5t is a very de!icate 4o/ so if you are not sure a/out your capa/i!ities2 you have

pro/!em in your vision2 you have not enough or not appropriate too!s or at !east you

are not definat!y determined to do this ..>98DT TR< 5TE

Any way2 one of the /est thin3s with this 3ind of radio contro! is that you can easi!y

find a rep!acement main /oard and even a pro&modified one to change your destroyed

    PLAN YOUR MOVEMENTS

irst you must prepair the T#d wire from the RS++ /oard to 9S5 in main /oard.

    That needs a resistor to /e p!aced /etween connections.

As you can see in the wiring diagram this is a *I;ohm resistor 0red&/!ac3&orange1

    The common connections are:

    *. AVR with S> card /oard to ain t# /oard 0if you intend to use S> card /oard1

    VccJKV2 8>2 F@; 0a!so ca!!ed S@;1

    +. AVR with RS++ /oard to ain t# /oard

    9S52 5S9

. S> /oard with * of the ain /oard /ypass fine wires to pin )+ at the uper side

of the AT7@() chip 0if you intend to use S> card /oard1

5f no Sd card is going to /e used the on!y common connections are the RS++ - AVR

    to main /oard 5S9 - 9S5.

So you have to create the termina!s of these wires 0as the picture in my diagram1 for easy

    and safety we!dings.

The /ypass connections are nessecary to /e using the thic3 fine wire2 cause the )*&)+

    pins of the processor

are too de!icate and reuiring c!ose attention on we!ding to avoid shorting them with

    the neigh/oring ones.

0you can see them in the photo on the !eft !ow side of the diagram facing to the !eft2 /een shorted

together /y heat shring tu/e in red with the + sma!! ends2 appearing at the !eft side1.

Here is a diagram Ive made to get in mind the common in!s and have an icon

    o" them.

Be!ieve me it is very usefu!! trying to ma3e the connections and in many cases you are

    too confused a/out.
