Muskaan’s Objectives: ● Provide comprehensive education and
training including vocational training and employment opportunities to persons with intellectual challenges
● Empower the parents through emotional support by workshops, lectures and counseling services etc.
● Provide a safe and dignified life to intellectually challenged adults through assisted living facility of group home, especially when parents become old or pass away.
● Raise awareness in the society about the capacities of persons with intellectual challenges and to foster recognition and respect for their rights and dignity.
● Advocacy with the Government and other stakeholders to create adequate, appropriate and quality services and facilities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Muskaan Facility at Vasant Kunj
Currently 175 students and 53 staff members at Muskaan in Vasant Kunj!
Currently 18 adults living independently in
dorm-like facility at Dera Village!
Currently 6 students and 1 teacher in the recently opened branch in East Delhi!

This years event proceeds will support
expansion efforts to bring training services, work opportunities, and infrastructure to make
growth possible.
The money raised will support the creation of another branch of Muskaan in East Delhi, that
began in July 2017. Your support will help make a difference in spreading training and employment opportunities to another part of Delhi. Expansion
is critical in the community as it increases the awareness and importance of inclusivity of all persons in community and workplace settings. Education, training, support, and infrastructure will be better and be available to more people.

All proceeds will go directly to Muskaan India, a
US based 501(c)(3) non-profit supporting Muskaan, a non-government organization located
in New Delhi, India.
Muskaan strives to empower students with a comprehensive education, life skills, vocational training and work opportunities so that they are
able to lead a quality life with respect and dignity.
Lemon Tree Success Story ● In 2014, Muskaan developed a joint training
program for its students and Lemon Tree staff to work in Lemon Tree Cafes.
● Muskaan provides training to its students, Lemon Tree supervisors, and continued on the job consults.
● Today 17 graduates have been placed in 5 hotels and 8 students are in training.
Technology Center Success Story ● Muskaan developed a data entry-training
program for 15 students in 2016. ● Today, 2 graduates are employed at an
insurance company and 2 graduates are in process of being placed.
Work Center Success Story ● Currently, the work center employs 50
students with differing intellectual challenges in its various units, including flower drying, diya painting, block printing, music, gardening, etc.
● Muskaan focuses not only on the training and work opportunities, but also to also provide training in soft skills, to facilitate further development of individual personalities.
Bakery Unit Success Story ● The most popular and highly visited place at
Muskaan! ● Currently employing and training 13 students
responsible for weighing of flour, mixing, kneading, of materials prior to baking or frying, and then all packaging responsibilities.
● Made to order eggless cakes and sweets are available and high in demand during Diwali and Holiday times.
