RightNow Media. ACC is excited to add RightNow media as a resource for you. It's a collection of videos for

bible studies, devotions, and teaching, and topics include marriage, parenting, apologetics, and youth/children

specific series. While it’s important that this resource doesn’t replace the Word, we hope it can be a beneficial

supplement. It's free, and to gain access, go to acc.church/rightnow to signup.

ACC COVID-19 Update.

Dear ACC Family,

ACC's leadership is aware of Governor Abbott's April 27th order (Executive Order GA18) and its effect to relax the

shelter in place for churches. As of now, Austin Chinese Church will continue to stream all services online, as the

governor still urges churches to conduct as many activities as possible remotely. Please note that our church

campus is still closed for all ministries. We ask that you keep the church leaders in your prayers as they discern

what the next steps will be. Please stay tuned for more updates.

By His Grace,

Austin Chinese Church Elder Board

PRAYERS FOR THE WORLD Morocco. Population: 36,381,000. Inhabitants in Morocco are predominantly Muslim and very few are Christian. Pray that the Lord will grant wisdom and favor to mission agencies currently focusing on the Moroccan people group, and ask that He will give the believers boldness to share the love of Christ with their friends and families. May we boldly ask the Holy Spirit to soften the hearts of the Moroccan people towards Christians so that they will be receptive to the Gospel. COVID-19. Covid-19 has now infected more than 3 million people worldwide and at least 1 million in the United States. As many parts of the nation are loosening up on their stay-at-home policy, the U.S. could be in for a bad fall and winter if countermeasures like testing and social distancing aren't implemented in time. For that reason, may we urgently pray for the wisdom of our govern-ment, that they would make sound decisions for our next steps. Let’s continue to faithfully pray for the healing of our world. Pray for compassion and kindness in knowing how to respond well and that we may learn to live by faith in the midst of this chaos. Pray especially that we would embrace God’s sovereignty, and ask for His mercy and healing over anyone affected by this virus, whether physically, mentally, and/or emotionally. Government Leaders. Pray for our government leaders. Ask God to surround them with good counsel. Pray for the salvation of leaders who have not yet accepted Christ. Pray that they will have courage to govern justly, be merciful, and walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8). PRAYERS & PRAISES FOR THE CHURCH BODY Angel Man. Pray for Angel, who is a long-time Cantonese congregation member. She has been battling brain cancer since December 2017. She is now in home hospice. Pray for the family as they wait for God’s will to be done and that Angel will experi-ence God’s peace. Elders & Staff. Please pray for our Elders and Staff team as they gather to decide on ACC’s next steps in the coming month. Despite Austin’s stay-at-home policy expiring, ACC’s leaders are meeting and praying for a decision that continues to protect the congregation. Please pray for God’s wisdom over their discussions. Edmond Cheng. Please lift up prayers for Edmond Cheng and his family. A few weeks ago his father passed away after nine months of battle with illness. May we pray for their family as they grieve, and that the Lord will comfort and embrace them with His peace. The family also rejoices that Edmond’s parents have come to join Christ’s family through these times. Praise God for His amazing grace! Pastor Gaylord’s Dad. Pastor Gaylord’s dad was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma on February 20, 2020 and is undergoing chemotherapy. So far he has had 4 infusions and seems to be doing pretty well, except for initial fatigue after each infusion. Pray for the treatments to be effective, and that PG's mom will not be overwhelmed in caring for his dad. Tiffany. One of our English young adults, Tiffany, recently lost her grandma over the span of two days. Please pray for comfort for her and her family, who are in New Jersey. Austin Chinese Church. Please pray over our church body. With tensions high in the city, there are members who may be wres-tling with financial, physical, and relational burdens. Pray that we may be wise in keeping safe day by day, but not live in fear. And pray for God’s faithful provision and protection during this difficult season, especially for those who are looking for new jobs. May we still faithfully worship our Heavenly Father and persevere in our prayers. Lily Lee. Please continue praying for Lily, who is Pastor John’s wife at First Chinese Baptist Church. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in 2016, and although incurable, it is treatable. In July 2019, the doctors discovered intracranial tumors in her brain MRI. However, after 5 courses of radiation, God had reversed her weakness and restored her strength. Excluding her auditory and salivary glands, she is doing well and stable. She will continue chemotherapy and oncologist visits every 3 weeks. Please pray for God’s mercy and strength during her therapy and that the treatments will be effective for a long time. Hoby Ng. Continue praying for Hoby as he is working hard at physical therapy and that God will direct him during this recovery. Expecting Families. Pray for Jimmy & Sonya Wang, Janie & Tim Wang, and all families expecting little ones. Unity Embracing Diversity. We believe that it is essential and effective for believers to seek, discern, and obey the Lord’s will as a community. We are committed to unity embracing diversity in a multilingual, multicultural and multigenerational ministry within our multi-congregational church. We value honest communication and mutual respect so that God will be glorified and our church will flourish. (Ephesians 4:11-13, 15; Galatians 3:28; 1 Corinthians 12:12)
